The comparison with the current state of the SC2 scene is a good one - but this is something tennis is actually criticised for. Even the players themselves complain about this situation. I don't remember which one but a few months ago one of the best players in the world went on strike because the top players are forced to play way too many games in a season. This results in a lower standard of play and lots of injuries. I probably did read too much into what you wrote but it wasn't meant to be directed at you in particular - I've read/heard similar stuff lots of times. And I criticise fans of football teams who tend to be obsessed with certain players; it's definitely not something that is limited to StarCraft fans. First things first, the Flames are a Canadian Hockey team based in the city of Calgary, Alberta, they play in the National Hockey League. Second, in relation to your Tennis analogy (assuming you watch Tennis) you would know that the top 4 seeds, almost always are the top 4 in every major tournament. With your past reasoning this completely defeats the purpose of watching tennis, yet people still do and should for that matter as it can be very entertaining even with the same four people playing. With that said I believe that the best, highest skill and most likely highest seeded players should potentially be in the top 4 of the tournament as they tend to give the most entertaining games (much like tennis), and people have a right to be upset if their favourite player gets knocked out in an early round. Especially if its due to cheese or gimmicky timings. If this causes then to no longer be interested in the tournament, its their choice. At least the tournament had more viewership (no matter how negligible the number is) for the duration of that players run.

However, Idra usually goes for mutas and he needs more drones to mine enough gas to support them, so tries to make the absolute minimum of lings in order not to skip any drones. When he deflects the pressure, he doesn't have spare lings to sacrifice for killing SCVs. Terrans will adapt to Stephano's style with time, of course. MKP in particular didn't seem to expect the counterattacks in both games and didn't set up any defences in time, so 10-15 lings got to kill 5-6 SCVs with some focus fire. But still, even when the terrans start preparing with bunkers and cutting some SCVs in order to get more marines on time, it'd be a small victory for zergs. I'm sure he'd appreciate it but he won't be like "Woah, Boxer". If he had the chance to train with Nada though... I'm sure that even Idra would turn into a giddy fangirl in such a situation.

Stephano's gameplan usually involves a lot of lings with a lot of early upgrades, so when a terran pressures him with marines in the early game, he is not hesitant to make an awful lot of lings to crush it. Afterwards, he goes straight for the SCVs because he has already invested in the lings and he usually ends up ahead. i think many people would consider idra's zvt stronger than that of stephano. i also find stephano's early lings, and this is probably idra's philosophy, chewing up too many larvae and minerals to what could've been drones. Both methods have proven succesful. however, the muta style adapted as a standard playstyle works well even when the opponents are expecting it. as idra said, stephano's playstyle may probably be adapted by other terran players. that being said, stephano's zvt is innovative, and maybe possibly be the new answer to the infinite number of early terran pressure.

A bit off topic but i thought Boxer and Jessica would get the master room =/ but any ways that is probably the nicest Korean Pro gaming house I've seen yet, but of course not as good as the EG mansion

^^The bracket for MLG. Idra only has to win 4 series to win the whole thing, but his half of the bracket looks soooooooo much harder than the lower half... He has Bomber/MC/MMA/DRG in his half of the bracket.

Yea it's tough, but you make it sound like he'd have to play all of them. He's going to play Bomber and DRG, and that's it. Maybe MC could beat Bomber, but I don't see MMA standing a chance against DRG.
