Personal attacks in this thread will draw a temp ban. |
+ Show Spoiler + I don't agree, but either way he beat Hwangsin in game 1. The main thing that looked bad in that game was that IdrA attack moved his infestors into the army of the protoss player.
|
Why doesn't he attack like ever? It is so infuriating...he coulda just ended it after he took out his ball of units.

He played well in the first game, his one mistake (a big one) was mismicroing his infestors - they died without doing any damage. If he had used neural on those colossi, the game would have ended a lot earlier. He handled the one-base all-in in game 2 really well.

My two favorite players just played, and my favorite won.
Idra is really amazing.

Neural wasn't fully researched yet, but maybe that's why he ran the infestors into the colossus ball, because he thought he had it finished. Either way, good stuff. Though this was taped a week before Dreamhack, it was still some more confidence-inspiring play. Game 2 was solid. And his quote about Hwangsin at the end was classic IdrA.

Idra - "No, it was easier than that, he was terrible"
Something along those lines
|
Gretorp asked IdrA if he felt he was the favourite of the group now that he had won against Hwangsin, and IdrA responded that Hwangsin was terrible so this game didn't change anything. He was confident in getting first place in the group either way though.

NOOOO, I was at work and I missed the game. I tried the NASL website, but we gotta be members to watch em. Anyone know where we can get them for free?

Go for the guaranteed win, which often means waiting until you have an unstoppable army. He's never going to attack if he could wait and attack later with something that has a better chance of succeeding. He has full confidence in his mechanical skills so he believes he cannot lose his advantage once he has it.
That also means sometimes he will miss timing opportunities, i.e. IdrA vs Hero on metalopolis, after repelling the dts I feel he should have attacked.

From David Kim on the patchnotes, regarding the higher build time of the rax:
"We also started to notice not just the all-in rushes terran players do, but also that the various early game push options available (before scouting even comes into play) were slightly problematic as well."
@the fat part: They could have just asked IdrA... he pointed this out a loooooong time ago, but hey... ^^
Well whatever.. guys I'm so excited to see how IdrA will do while / after his training session in Korea...
