I built him and his first computer in January and recommended SC2 to him (I am/was a hardcore Civilization player but he had only played console games until then). So he got it and has been an addict ever since, but when he asked me when I would get it, I told him that I would probably wait another 4-5 years because I feel ripped off for paying so much money for a third of a game and as a result I would wait until all the expansions were out.
So when he came to visit me around Easter, he brought me a copy as a thank-you gift and so he could beat me (since I haven't played SC since, oh, something like 2003), which I am happy to report he wasn't able to, even after my long break (he is 15 and I'm 32).
There you have it, the tl:dr-version. :p
@TuthurZ: Thx, I say that thread, but it also didn't look like a strategy-discussion thread. But I'll ask my questions there.
