In my opinion as a pure fan it is kind of relaxing to go into such an tournament because every single win would be quite impressive and just the fact that TLO made it this far is such a great archievement.
I think the only chance of getting throw this group stage is to beat Stephano and aLive (ZvT) but this will be hard as f***.
Honestly, I haven't been that impressed by Soulkey. The GSL finals were a really lackluster series - he won with 3 all-ins and innovation donating 3 full medivacs. Soulkey also has had 0 ZvZs in GSL. Stephano is certainly always good, but it's well known that ZvZ is Stephano's weakest matchup. aLive is also good, but can be inconsistent at times.
None of these are guarantees or even good odds for wins, of course, but who knows what TLO can do! :D

I BELIEVE! Just one more zerg buddy! You can do this!

Congratulations on a great season 1 TLO. As i don`t think that Dimaga can make it out of his group you can name yourself as one of the best foreígners maybe even the best depending on this first season.
Such a great performance!

Still nice performance in season 1 TLO ! :> just keep fighting in season 2.

Well played TLO, be proud!

Says not impressed by Soulkey- only cites 3 games. I can tell you are a wise person.

i feel like the recent TvZ metagame isnt fitting TLOs playstyle. you did a great job at season finals though

Its just a bit hard for zergs to be aggressive early without playing some kind of all-in. Terrans can hellbat or widowmine drop and don`t even need to do that much damage and still be fine.
Everything the Zerg can do (Roach pressure, ling/bling bust) needs to hit the opponent very hard and if it doesn`t you might as well quit.

Widow mines a bit imbalanced, 75/25 is low cost for such effective unit. It's should be 75/50...

Well let`s all not blame balance, I mean Soulkey and friends aren`t doing bad vs Terran either. I could only watch TLO`s games vs Alive and overall the latter just played more effective. The kind of multitasking that he portrayed was on another level than what you encounter in Europe, even in the case of Happy or Lucifron there is a noticeable delay between their main army movement and the drop. So overall we may not have seen TLO`s A-game but still it is a good indicator about where he still has to improve in order to make it one step further at the real top level. At least he won vs Stephano, got a decent amount of money, additional stage experience and a lot of wcs points. Another good thing is that he has no time to feel shitty: Dreamhack, Homestory and or MLG are coming.

yea I'll be at HSC
will be a a bit crazy, flying to Sweden on thursday and then next wednesday after that going to Krefeld I think. Hope I can show a better form in both those tours than here.
After that I can finally start practicing in my own place for a longer time. Can't wait for that tbh, that should give me some more energy

Show better? You played an amazing first season! Just look at those names of players who didn`t make it that far, Dario. That should give you enough energy for the near future.

I doubt TLO woulda improved half as much if it wasn't for his good mindset, for aslong as there's someone better you show allways aim to improve

Yes I want to show better, I don't mean it in a bad way or am sad right now. I Just really can't relate or understand when someone tells me ''you did your best''. (though I appreciate the sentiment and am grateful for the support and kind words!) There hasn't been anything in my life I have ever done to which I can truthfully say: I did my best. What I see in Humans is one thing mostly, potential. So much potential do be better, faster, smarter, more industrious, stronger and kinder. So saying ''I did my best'' is comitting to defeat, creating a self imposed limit to what we can do. Of course it's just a phrase, but It's a phrase I will not accept.
I realise we all have our limits, but I don't think I ever hit that limit or ever will. And I don't think anyone ever 100% hit their limit so we can always try to achieve more. As individuals as well as humanity overall
Which to me is inspiring and beautiful.

Even if you didn't do your best TLO, I was damn impressed but what you did do. Well done and I hope to see even better from you in the future.

what you need is a return to terran and start nuking :D
No but really! wp TLO! I hope to see you improve even more for next season and even though there are swedes contending I must say I root for you at the very least as much as for them, You have always shown such sportmanship and I applaud that! If I ever see you in sweden expect tons of beers on me :p
GL in DH! kick som ass!

Nuking would be great :-) From time to time i re-watch that 2010 GSL game against Supernova or a different against Darkforce on Xel´Naga Caverns with those epic nukes. Great times :-)
Btw with Dimaga finishing last in his group, TLO is now (officially) the best foreigner :-)

Let me try to explain what I understand in the phrase "you did your best". It means you did not hold back. It means you did not hesitate or shy away. It means you did not save a bit of energy for later.
It doesn't mean that you already crashed into your ceiling. The phrase says nothing about your future.
It means that you have nothing to regret in the (immediate) past.

Here's a quote that you might like:
"I learned so much from my mistakes in the past that I plan to make more."
(I have no clue who said that first. I only know that the speaker was wise. :-)

Well who would imagine a year ago that the best placed foreign in the world's premiere tournament would be TLO. Im cool with that.
