Yeah you guys say K-Pop is for entertainment and not about talent, well there was a point where those two things actually co-existed. Back in the day it was easier for people like SG Wannabe, SeeYa, Sung SiKyung, Lexy, etc to be really popular. Even some of the idol groups such as DBSK and CSJH had a bunch of ability. It was at a point where actual song quality wasn't strangled by pure looks and album concept. There are so many of you idol fans, when I hear the phrase "Can't anyone have a meaningful opinion here", especially from idol fans, bullshit. Idol groups have so many blind/deaf followers, opinions that come from Roffles or I are hardly listened to at all unless it's felt that what we say is a threat to fanboy/fangirlism of idol fans.

Seriously, Ciryandor, can you name any artists within the past 7-8 months that have held a #1 ranking on a music show that isn't an idol group, that isn't named Rain or Hyori? It's sad because other companies have to produce their own idol groups to at least not go bankrupt, thus limiting on the vaieity of other stuff you can listen to. It sucks, because singers like Jerry, JB, One Way, and whole bunch of other talented people can't make it as big due to the idol group stranglehold, and the ones that can bust through that big hurdle are ones who have built up a sizable pedigree yrs ago (That's a reason why Seo YoungEun's single is selling pretty well, she debuted back in 1998).

My blame isn't only towards SM for mass producing the fuck out of idol groups within their own label, CSJH and DBSK are big enough reasons to hate them. (The fact that Lee JiYeon / Lina getting thrown under the bus twice irks me. To be fair Isak N JiYeon aren't really disbanded at all techincally, but seriously, she's fracking better than Taeyeon. I'm sure a company as popular as they are can find a market for her somewhere, or the entire CSJH for that matter)

I blame YG for starting the bullshit again with Big Bang and seriously getting away from being a legitimate hip-hop / R&B company. Just because Gummy came back doesn't mean shit to me, considering a. Kim JiEun was heavily underutilized (what, to train Sandara Park and Goo HyeSun on singing... ok) and b. you didn't even try to retain Wheesung. Oh yeah, I really hope, to dear god, that Yang Hyun Suk didn't flop a girl group on purpose just so that he can get with one of the members.

JYP for initiating Wonder Girls and blatantly trying to promote them through their image and concept vs. their actual performing talent (and SunYe and YeEun sing good too, whyyyy). Hey Park JinYoung, you could've done a better job trying to retain Jay and actually tried to defend his ass instead of fearing for your companies degradation via netizens.
