I think it also has a lot to do with the fact that SNSD has been in the scene for so long now, can't really realistically expect people in their 20's to go without relationship for like 5+ years. At least in this case it's being kept in same company so they have control of the PR of it. Also guy idols have always had more lax'd dating rules than the girls, so not a big deal for Exo guys.
SNSD killing themselves off when they could have milked so much more money by sticking to things a few years longer, before going yolo. SNSD members made tons of money and don't seem to really care much anymore whether or not their livelihoods tank a bit. They seem to only go on trips and relax, judging by their instagrams. Gonna be fun to see them come back once the money starts to run dry.
Like SNSD should date obv, but I think they should've kept it hush hush(like all the older idols). It's the smart thing to do, and it extends your career. It's kind of weird that they are so open about who they're dating, and do poor jobs of hiding their dating lives. It really seems either an experiment by SM to test how far they can get away with things, or SNSD too rich to give a fuck.
The funniest thing about the newest scandal, Taeyeon teamkills Baekhyun and EXO too. Not that EXO will fall, but they will take a hit with their I think most popular korean member.

lol for snsd ok, but for the Exo dude this is devastating. Barely debuted a year ago, they are pretty much the it-group in korea right now and Idol dating news in general have been rare (changed a bit lately) but even for a male to have a dating rumor confirmed so early in his career might not please SM, I don't care about Exo so I don't know if he has a big personal fandom but with the Kris scandal this surely isn't good for them.
e: I bet SM would have never ever confirmed this, like usually do but dispatch basically has pictures of them kissing so prob smartest thing to just confirm instead of making up some crazy sunbae-Dongsaeng story who drove to the outskirts of Seoul to an empty parking lot and touch each other :D

I've kinda lost a bit of respect for Exo and SM as a whole. Seems kind of unprofessional for SM to let EXO members date after such a short time in the limelight, and also the couple were really, really bad at being discreet. Looks bad all around.
