I mean I think EXO is pretty good and I was surprised by their improvement this year, but they still have quite a ways to go. I don't think they really have anyone that can sing as well as Jonghyun, Taemin, or Onew. Kai is obviously a great dancer but I haven't paid enough attention to them to judge the rest. I still don't have a real set opinion on EXO yet, gotta give them more time. But I think SHINee is a level above everyone not from the good old Dong Bang.

I feel the same way. The choreo is cool, but the song...
Not downright bad like Why So Serious but not up there with their best either.
I assume you guys are talking about Everybody and not Symptoms which is what I had linked? Hard to tell lol. I really like Everybody but the song definitely isn't for everybody (hehe), not their best but there are a lot of cool aspects of it. I still will stick by my want of Symptoms to be their promoted song since I think its a song much better suited for the average person, but I can obviously see the merits of promoting Everybody.
Hmm apparently I missed the fact that Yoochun sang Magic Castle much earlier this year
for the LONGEST time I ignored Shinee. Had someone link me their "Replay" video a few years ago and I just didn't like it. They didn't click for me the way some other boy groups did. Anyway, fast forward to 2013 and I decided to give "Lucifer" a try one night and holy fuck, it's literally been my most played song the past few months. I am seriously addicted to that choreography. Since then, I've given all their albums a chance and I can generally agree that they are very talented, even Replay is on my playlist now. This comeback isn't very great though, but whatever.
Plus I can't get enough of Taemin. Kid can dance better than anyone I've seen in kpop and his voice is fucking legit, especially his performances on Immortal Song 2 last year. Plus, he seems to be winning over Naeun.

Most groups have at least one terrible song, and if that's the first one you hear it can turn you right off trying their other stuff.
First T-ara song I heard was Bo Peep. No thanks. Still hate it, but eventually I listened to their other stuff which is OK.
That's funny because Replay is legitimately my favorite SHINee song. I actually worked hard to list out my top 30 shinee songs in order quite recently but now I'm holding off on finishing it until this album is released cause at the very least Symptoms is going on there. The Romeo album dominates the list, 5 of its 6 songs in my top 30.
Also really surprised and happy that Block B got their 1st ever win tonight on Inki. Pretty sick that they were able to get through all of their crap and still come back and manage to get their first win.
EXO has some really good vocalists, if you check out the Immortal Song performance with Baekhyun and Luhan. D.O. has a nice voice, really love Goodbye Summer on f(x)'s new album, but he's not insane vocally. I don't really think SHINee as a whole is very different to EXO, Jonghyun and Onew have insane vocals, backed by adequate (not shit) vocals in the three others. It's very much the similar situation in EXO.
Has AOA gone "full girlgroup" and abandoned their band/instrument theme? I thought they were supposed to be the female cnblue/ft island or am I mising them up with a different group.
Not that I mind it, I love every group that performs in skinny jeans and white tee's
