That's like asking what song you think is the most representative American song, and the answer to both questions is that both countries have such a diversified amount of music that no song is truly representative. if you ask the thread which song they think should be the most representative they're gonna pick their favorite song by their favorite kpop idol group, which also is a wrong answer. | ||

was at a little warmup party before going to a club. group of 8-10 people and that one guy was like "you all need to check this out, it's from korea". you all know which song he played. reactions were mostly "yeah whatever, we know that song allready". but that guy was kinda forcing his gangnam-style-hipstermode trying to explain to people what it is all about and all that shit. | ||

I've had conversations about that with a lot of friends, not about Korean music in general, but K-Pop. What is the best K-Pop song? Everyone seems to settle on Mirotic. Most representative of K-Pop? Gee and Mirotic are examples of good kpop in the past, but they couldn't even stand the test of time. Both sound dated, Gee more so than Mirotic, though. But neither of them represent kpop today. | ||
