One is a group that got a lucky hit from a country that wasn't trying to promote its music worldwide. The other is an artist who got lucky, and a country which has a music industry which has already started to try and push itself worldwide. Vastly different situations. | ||

BigBang,SNSD, DBSK etc. will all still be popular and kpop probably gained few more fans after GS but Kpop itself will still be a niche product and won't go mainstream anytime soon ( most likely never) which is probably not a bad thing. | ||
