Lee Jieun, or for most people known as IU. With her debut in 2008 we've all had the chance to follow her work up from a rookie to the very icon she is today.

Unfortunately, with growing up in a very public matter it is obvious that matters that would otherwise mean nothing can escalate greatly. It is therefore with pain in my heart that there are people that are trying to bring her down, call her a corrupted or tainted.

The very date that these "rumours" started. December 16th of 2011, the infamous Hyuna handshake. Am I one to call this argument instant trash? No, I am not. I am also not denying that this ever took place.
I am one that argues that the pureness and kind soul that is IU outweighs the possibilty of a possible incident. The people in Korea agree.

People have been jumping on the bandwagon and it is now December 21st 2011. It has been tough for poor and innocent IU.

An article was released this day on that horrid website Allkpop. I didn't know what it was at first but it seemed like a poor mans gossiping blog. The article in question stated that IU acknowledged she wanted to go drinking and clubbing when she would turn 20 years old. I couldn't believe it at first. This was however said on TV by herself. I checked the translation and it was indeed legit.

My explanation is simple, peer pressure from the previous 5 days. Ever said something you didn't mean? Wanted to get someone of your back? Exactly. Here, have some IU.






9 days after the incident
I may or may not have started to doubt my previous explanation. It was this day that made me sure of it, IU is still an innocent goddess.
Some random guy shows up, and wants to give IU a back hug. What is up with that in the first place?!

Fortunately IU was able to deflect this weirdo with her aura of good will while giving her haters a simple but meaningful "Sup son". Youngsters these days!




23 days after the incident
IU is a rebellious student? More AKP nonsense I'm sure. Calling a lollipop a cigaret. No candy from her you haters!



My point is clear.


67 days after the incident
With her last TV performance over more than a month ago it has been quiet on the IU front. Just when I thought things settled down this picture exploded.



Who is this guy? And why is IU fixing his tie?! Calm down silly people, she is just helping the crew out during the filming for her Japanese debut that is coming up in a month. She's too kind!


70 days after the incident
IU arrived late at the Dream High concert and did not apologize. What people seem to forget is that she was incorrectly instructed about the time. At this point I am getting tired of it, this is a cruel world.

All is forgiven my dear IU. I would wait for as long as I have to to see you perform.




OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT


Is this IU with beer?! A picture taken by herself? This can't be happening.

After extensive research I managed to find out that it was yet again an attempt to infect the innocent. I was able to find the original picture from IU's me2day account that her hacker had removed.




I am disappointed and upset. Misleading articles, bad photoshops and ridicilous claims forced me to act on the truly awful behaviour of some netizens over the last couple of months. With my flawless logic and judgement I hope to have cleared up the misunderstandings and am sure that we can now all be sure again that IU is pure.
