To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
I'll agree with what some others are saying here. Exo completely redeemed themselves at music core. My hype train had all but fallen off the tracks after music bank but thankfully music core was much better. D.O. sang 10x better. During the chorus of history he kills it and seems like the only member I can even hear! He still has trouble during parts of MAMA though. His parts are very demanding in it.
I pretty much only listen to album versions rather than live versions of anything; but somehow knowing that they can perform it live well is reassuring in the sense that I'm not listening to frauds.
I'm guessing just a little bit of experience and not using one handed mics goes a long way though, cause I don't see what else could have helped them that much. It doesn't seem like the bg music was any stronger.
The screamo part with kai is growing on me, he does it pretty well live.
I'm not very familiar with *boy bands* so just wondering if kmd can recommend me some groups that have good ballad songs, thanks! and i will try all that was talked about already. Good song
Its ON! Let's talk about dem boiz! Fiction da best. Like really, that song when it was released was on repeat for quite a looooong time, like really long.
Epik High should start to release some epiks again. Tablo got me into them so I'm pretty new still but it's good. Hiphop gets me quite often, actually knowing the meaning of the lyrics helps liking it even more or actually disliking it. But with Korean music for me, it's all about flow and melody so it's alllll good.
You know what's really really really unappreciated here?! 2 friggin AM. I got their latest "Best Of" and it's very good, at least to my taste. All of them have distinct sounds and they go well together. Yes, very good indeed.
That JC My Song is cool. The start sounded like something I've heard before but can't recall. I like the sound of that weird stuff.
Hi, I'm kind of curious, what are the best K-pop/korean songs in general? I'm not really a fan of the new trend of pop that has a hip-hop ish vibe with a house background and some autotuners. I'm also not really feeling these boy/girl group songs, I like catchy songs, but some of them sound really annoying and the videos imo look really stupid(like typical hip-hop videos nowadays) although that is completely irrelevant. I like the songs that are more vocal and pleasant to listen to. I see a lot of streamers playing those kind of songs sometimes. They almost sound like R&B/Soul except in Korean language.

I really hope these are going to be released in some way, I'd definitely pay to have those posters. Otherwise I'll have to find some high res ones and print them myself.
Anyway, for anyone interested here are the other ones. + Show Spoiler +

edit- @Firehand- people care about boy groups less here.
Also reposts of any sort are frowned upon here, even the "OMG THIS CAME OUT RECENTLY AND I KNOW IT'S PROBABLY POSTED BUT I LOVE IT" sort. The only acceptable reposts of anything are old material (5+ years), rare performances (that probably haven't been seen, so no Inkigayo, music bank, music core, etc.), or material with reason (old material, proving a point, etc.)
well the 4minute one i havent see, or the B1A4. and why the bias towards girl groups? Is this or is this not the 'Korean Music Discussion'? Why should it only be segregated to girls? I think the boy bands are really cool and have a lot to offer, such as this one by Exo: + Show Spoiler +
anything that has come out recently, i love to post because it is relevant and that is what is happening in the kpop scene right now....even though many of the girls here are beautiful, 10+ pictures on each page can drive me crazy sometimes....

You're looking for ballad songs. There's a ton of good ones out there. Off the top of my head, Davichi, Baek Ji Young, Gavy NJ, Seeya, Navi's stuff. Forgot 4men.
