To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules; - Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

Idols as wallpapers are fine, who cares. Plenty of people have random models/actresses whatever in next to no clothes. Hell I've seen plenty of people with lewd anime pics ffs. Isn't that kind of like buying a concert tshirt at a concert and then wearin it there? I just feel its kinda tacky, like f you go to an snsd concert you already know everyone knows you're a sone, why bother

Then again, maybe other idols are like that. I only know SNSD, so that is my experience.

Technically, calling someone cynical never means refuting their thesis. It just means prefering to see things through the pink glasses one's been wearing.
But I can understand bringing a themed shirt to a concert. It's a special fan feeling, being part of a group. Even more so when it's a mixed concert/event (most of them are) so you can express your appreciation for a certain group, or to find other fans more quickly.

You know that SNSD acts excited seeing t-shirts. All I'm saying is that neither of us know whether that excitement is genuine. All you've said is that you've attended an SNSD concert, and you want to believe that their excitement is genuine.

While it's true idols pretty much have to act a certain way, I don't think it's such a stretch to assume people are excited over seeing their fans supporting them. Like, beyond a reasonable doubt. I can think of very few situations in which I would be disappointed or saddened by seeing a bunch of people wearing a shirt in support of me. EDIT: I do like the fact that Dystopia and Moon are both Guardians. I imagine the two of them just chillin near a terran base and having this conversation. I may have been watching too much proleague recently.

From everything I've seen having seen them and met them multiple times, everything I've seen in and around these various events, everything I've read and watched from other events I couldn't attend myself but know people who did attend, all of these add up to the definite fact that they are genuinely excited to see their fans. I'm not going to explain specifically because it doesn't matter. I know this environment, and I know all the responses. So like I said, believe what you want, but I know that, for this particular group, they get excited about stuff like that Kara jacket. I don't know about other groups because I don't follow them closely, but I'd bet a lot that they get excited, too.

@KARASIA all of the KARA members picked up custom made towels from the crowd and wore them around their neck through out the end of the concert. And it wasn't staged or anything either there are fan accounts of fans and people from Karaholic that threw their towel at them and they started wearing them and they were thankful/happy/really excited about it.
Even tho it is primarily a "fake" and scripted world, there are still moments where you can clearly see genuine emotions shine through.
