To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
  • Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
  • When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
  • No reposting of old material unless justified
  • Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
  • No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
  • Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
  • No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
  • No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
  • Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)

Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

So is there going to be more of Cry Cry? I don't actually know, just based off the ending.

I wanna see Beiber Qris. Seeing how well Jiyeon turned out I'm no longer as pessimistic as I once was. Eunjung's in there somewhere too, probably in for as long as Hyomin was for part 1.

Noona is a term used by younger boys addressing their older sisters, also can be used for close relationships with girls, or if you're actually dating. It is used the same was as younger girls using Oppa.

Some girls find it embarrassing being called Noona because it is referring to the fact that she is older (you probably already know how sensitive women are about their age). Not a great example, but the only one I could think off of the top of my head is Victoria and Nichkhun's WGM. Nichkhun called her Noona and she frowned, and asked to be called by something else. I think the most ideal situation for a relationship in Korea is if the guy is older, which usually happens anyway since guys love being called Oppa.

I'm not sure how well something Victoria does can indicate elements of Korean culture since she *did* grow up in China and has only been exposed to Korea for a handful of years.

Like I said, it isn't a great example because they both aren't Korean, but it still happens. My international-exchange buddy at my school has an older girlfriend, he can't mention the word Noona to her, it's literally forbidden in their relationship. It goes both ways though some like it some don't (or just don't mind it), I just feel like I don't hear Noona as often as I hear Oppa.

Hmm . . I guess . . .I knew this non-Korean girl who had a Korean boyfriend for like forever and embraced the term "noona" (despite being younger), to the point of making it her middle name on facebook. Than again, she was a bit of a caricature.

^sounds like half the non-Asian people in my Korean class lol. Learn a few words (oppa, noona, etc.) and inject it into everyday conversation. I find it annoying as hell.

If you're referring to my buddy, I can't really say, I never hear them call each other Jagi, but they do have call each other nicknames, I just don't know what they are because I don't know Korean. She did call him Yeobo (I think? unless he said something else I didn't really understand where he was getting at because of his limited English) once but he didn't like it because I guess "it implies that we are a married couple"

Being called Oppa is a god-send to a lot of men. Whenever younger girl-idols are on TV shows with older men, they insist on being called Oppa instead of Ahjussi, or some want them to drop honorifics and speak to each other casually (thus leading to being called Oppa) On family outing, Daesung wanted Yoona to call him Oppa instead of Daesung-ssi. Seungri (I think) really wanted Seohyun to call him Oppa on Star Golden Bell.

Just a skit, but it's hilarious:
+ Show Spoiler +
"Baby, please call me oppa, ahjussi is for senior citizens, not a young guy like me"

As for her adding Noona, I find that a lot of non-Koreans learn the titles then just call them by that to be cool. My brother has a Vietnamese friend who adds everybody under her phone as Oppa, Unnie, Dongsaeng, etc. etc.

edit: ya pretty much wat dystopia said

^I might just stop caring about T-Ara altogether if she does that. I couldn't take it I'm afraid. I hope most girls don't really think they look better with short hair. Even for Nicole, who looked gorgeous with it, I think she's better now.

Longer hair Jiyeon is much better but I am really digging short hair Qri.

Pretty excited for T-ara album, this shit sounds good, like the whole clapping-tango thingy(oke so its not tango but you know what I mean)

Suprisingly also liking that Lovey Dovey teaser.
