Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.

Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.

Is that just a relatively well-done music removed version? Or is it an actual acapella?
They just lowered background the album version and kept the vocals intact. I wouldn't even call it MR removed since as the album version everything has already gone through post production.
Same goes for all these so called MR videos popping up on youtube which I believe is done by running a recorded version of the sound clip through a program.
it may not be trolling but the majority of your posts consist of the bashing of other groups/members and baiting other posters to respond to your cute one liners. but then again, a bunch of other people in this thread do it as well so meh.

So, my friend has just recently become obsessed with kpop, Epik High to be exact. He asked me if I can recommend him some korean hip-hop/rap songs, but, unfortunately, I don't listen to a ton of k-pop. So, can you guys recommend me some? :D. Some that I'm thinking of already are, Supreme Team, Drunken Tiger, and GD/TOP. Thanks.

So why is this album just perfect for your friend? → It's an album by Pe2ny, the guy who worked with Epik High on their songs. The songs thus are exactly the same style of music →The album features many different Korean rappers. Thanks to this your friend will get to know some more artists. →The artists are top-notch. Verbal Jint, The Quiett, MYK, Double K, Kero One... just an awesome line-up. →It features Tablo and Mithra from Epik High!
Man, that album is really awesome. I myself am constantly looking for music that comes really close to the good stuff that is Epik High. Alive Soul Cuts Vol. 1 is as close as it can get.
Tablo and Pe2ny made an album together called Eternal Morning - Soundtrack to a Lost Film. Here's one song from this album:
The album is heavily instrumental, however. Epik High fans will also notice that some songs on this album are practically Epik High songs without the rap. But it's still good and I listed it for obvious reasons.
Apart from that, what could I throw into this thread?
Ah, Verbal Jint feat. Tablo and Mithra.
This guy... is a hydralisk. With stim. And adrenaline boost. Well, at least when it comes to rapping. The name's Outsider and he sold quite a bit of his records. Supported by MC Sniper, a name one should remember when wandering through the world of Korean hip-hop.
And finally:
Planet Shiver is also connected to Epik High, but that doesn't really matter here since they don't make hip-hop but trance. This remix of one of their songs has - however - many rappers featured and the last verse by Tasha is just the killer. She's a beast!
What an informative and witty post there, AMaidensWrath. I was quite delighted by the insight into the world of this thing called "Korean hip-hop", I do have to say that.
But now to something completely different:
U-Kiss is coming back and this time with quite a hefty change regarding the members. I'm quite excited about their new image, somewhat hoping that the amount of make-up will go down.
[Edit]Just felt like making a double post since I'm awesome, regardless of what these red letters will say in some minutes.
Even though I watched wgm starting with yongseo, I'm kind of glad they are ending. After the banmal song, there is been close to 0 progress in skinship. Taking wedding photos, which is the most anticipated portion of any wgm couple, would have been boring to watch if seulong and na young didn't visit them.

when i first started paying attention to t-ara, i didn't understand why people liked jiyeon so much. after watching her in variety shows though i started liking her alot. think it's kinda like how people like sunny even though she's not pretty, but she has a lot of aegyo and variety skills.
Whaaat? Sunny is so damn cute in terms of looks; how is she not pretty? Have you seen her in that orange santa hat during the christmas special of factory girls?
sunny is gross and her aegyo is laughable. sooyoung is the true snsd queen of aegyo
anyways... I can't say I really hate any members of any korean idol group, I just find some of them more boring than others
after scrolling through youtube- I didn't know this 'soosica' combo was so popular

uhhhh right round.
And in my mind I think it's less plagiarization on Gaga's part and more that both songs have ridiculously simple beats and simple melody progression as well as being upbeat.
I don't know they do sound pretty darn similar. I don't think it's plagiarism either, but I think she has definitely heard the SNSD song before, just like she's heard anything by Madonna. I think Gaga even has said before she is interested in other cultures styles and stuff.
I seriously doubt that she heard SNSD's song before. Since pop music nowadays deals in a very narrow range of style and tonality it was only a matter of time before something similar was produced.
That being said, there's plenty of pop music that doesn't use generic ass beats and is catchy, it's just a lot easier to make the same dumb shit over and over again rather than trying to innovate.
This...I'm pretty familiar with the SNSD song and I don't think they're very similar. And I doubt any American artist has heard it. Gee might be plausible but a non-title track? For some reason I feel like I once saw Wonder Girls do an interview with Gaga but other than that she's probably not familiar with the Korean music industry.
Evidently I totally missed out on this conversation. You guys are aware that Lady Gaga performed on M!Countdown, right? http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/HVGMkuAKvRs/ Part of being in the entertainment industry, hell most all of them, is being aware of trends on an international scale. If you don't know what is happening in oversea markets you won't fair well over there and you'll be behind people in your location that are more knowledgeable. And she went from an uninteresting classical pianist to what she is today, clearly she had to do a large amount of research on trends in order to craft her image, along with having producers who know how to trawl through published work and trends to assemble hits.

Beside Seoul.fm I could also recommend you Arirang Radio, since they have a daily show that focuses on k-pop. It's called "K-Pop Zone" and airs daily from 2pm to 4pm KST. Note that everything broadcasted by Arirang - wether it is TV or radio - is in English and easily accesible.
