They have a lot of good series and a few... questionable series. There are definitely a lot of series I like, such as Mahou Tsukai ni long title, Nodame Cantabile, Shigofumi, Kaichou wa long title, Ookami-san long title and a bunch of other series I hear good things about (Kimikiss, Toradora!). But Bakuman didn't impress me (whereas the manga did). ToAruIndex has a budget deficit, ToAruRailgun had a decent first half and a downright shitty second half (hooray for original endings). Zero no Tsukaima had a decent first season and drops in quality every subsequent season (though that might be in spite of JC Staff, rather than because of). It wouldn't surprise me if they had an A-team and a B-team. | ||

The best answer to your question is because the studio that produces the series wants to stay true to the original, whether it be a manga or a LN. | ||

Nagisa, for instance, is someone that makes pretty much anyone go bawwww and wahhhh, having a more fleshed out story than anyone else. Taiga I can't comment on, I didn't pay much attention to toradora. Also, G-senjou was a TERRIBLE vn, please don't play it. | ||

I had a friend who did that all the time. He was also kind of crazy. He marathoned hundreds of episodes of One Piece on fast forward. I've never done it because I like listening to the Japanese. Bad ends: I have the conviction that there's actually some conspiracy to troll viewers with characters like Taiga/Louise/Nagi/anyone voiced by Kugimiya Rie. That or main characters are all lolicon. I talked about it with my roommate and he said, facetiously, that it's a ploy to generate more content to cater to the fanbases of actual moe characters like Kuroneko and Tomoyo. I've been dying to see the Ef anime, though, so should I watch the anime or just completely skip it? Every single one of my friends swear how fucking good it is, but I haven't found the time/state of mind to watch it yet..
