Basically they passed a bill restricting "extreme" content in Anime. Meaning, they're going to monitor sexual and explicit material now (violence too probably). This goes for manga/anime. The governor who passed (proposed?) this bill (or just support it) says that the modern youth has no culture. That TVs/Phones destroyed us and ruined us. He says there is no culture in this Information Era. Methinks he is just old school and doesn't like change. They originally also tried to ban the possession of extreme material (i guess this goes for any extreme ecchi like hentai) in the bill, but removed it later. Either way this is the first step towards censorship. This sucks and many animes that have been planned will now have to either stop or edit their animes. There have been mangas that have been banned already or restricted (something about being categorized as ero 18+ or something). I don't know yet what mainstream anime/manga titles have been effected yet, but I know it's not just hentai anime. | ||

I haven't even watched the anime past ep 4 since the manga is exponentially better. I haven't read the Hourou Musuko manga though. IS is bad, but hilarious. And I haven't watched Fractale past ep 3. I have absolutely zero motivation to watch it. | ||

I haven't been watching them very fast, but I'm almost done with Gaiden 1 myself. Gaiden 1 Chapter 1 and 4 are GREAT. Its still the LoGH that we know and love, but we get it in different flavors, and alot of ground warfare (which we like, never saw in the main OVA). So tanks, infantry, and battle axes all over the place. Gaiden 1 Chapter 2 is different, but okay I guess. A murder mystery solved by Reinhard/Kircheis while being with the military police for a bit. Chapter 3 is an only-Kircheis arc, where he is helping out an investigation while on vacation. It was nice to see so much Kircheis, but the arc itself was weak, other than the parts where Kircheis beasts stuff. Anyway, Chapters 1 and 4 are very good, so look forward to them. | ||
