SnO was okay but it tried to have both a mystery thriller and a shougi love story all in one, and it ends up doing a subpar job at both. However, I haven't watched the anime beyond two episodes, so maybe it did a better job than the manga. Those were really spontaneous, no comparison to Utawarerumono.
I don't know, I think so. On AniDB(which I check for sub categories), it has half a star in romance and other than that, there are no such elements implemented(from what I can see).

This, unless you want to play them for the ero. Although I'll admit that Saya no Uta, Ever 17 and 999 were pretty good too.

/edit: You can play Sengoku Rance for the gameplay as well, it's really good. Daibanchou -Big Bang Age- is similar but, from what I know, not as good. There is also another VN which focuses on gameplay coming up which is super promising.
Still haven't played Ever 17 but I will do so...when I lack anime to watch which won't happen in the next month. Also, I need to finish Super Robot Taisen J at some point but I don't really want to spoiler myself regarding Gundam SEED and Kidou Senkan Nadesico.

It is still a pretty sad story, but I couldn't stop laughing at that sex scene. Edit: + Show Spoiler [Saikano] +At least the scenes where Chise is in her weapon form are great. Especially when she narrates her letters to Shuuji.
"Are you satisfied with your little war? It looks like it is my turn now." *Energy wings, everybody dies* "Shuu-chan, I've destroyed another city today." So, is it rather good/bad or average? Well, it's only 13 episodes. Do the love polygon and ecchi matter? I'm not really into such things. I think it is pretty average, going towards good rather than bad. The story and themes are very interesting (and incredibly depressing), it is just that I feel the pacing is wrong and some of the characters are annoying. In the end there is so much tragedy and death packed into the small amount of episodes that it blends together. The focus is far more on tragedy, death, destruction and war instead of "ecchi things", but there are still romantic scenes and implied sex scenes. I guess it's worth a watch then. Hm, it's hard to imagine how it will be. The difference between 13 and 24/26 is there and annoying characters can be less bothersome because you won't have to deal this much with them. So it's more forgivable. I actually wonder whether you can compare it to the second half/last third of Le Chevalier D`Eon.
Romance=/=ecchi, so that's fine. Well, at least when it's seinen romance. Apparently, harem anime claim to have romance in it as well...

SaiKano manga is incredible, the anime not so much. Not a new phenomenon
I translated the first few chapters of Shion, and followed it through its end, heh. The mangaka just really had no idea what to do with it. It's like if you did a Romeo and Juliet in James Bond, except Bond is like Sagara Sousuke and you get inundated with a lot of technical details about the guns, all the while the key characters are giving Touma-esque monologues and the rest of the cast is acting like Shougi players are all psychotics. Only at the end, you get a heart-warming tale of redemption for each of these characters and how they're not as cold as they seem. There're a few love triangles and such, too.
If you think you're getting into a sports anime...

Err, you have left me speechless, lol. Now I don't know anymore, what I can expect from this anime. Just looked the MAL genres up(since those are always accurate but it lacks extra information) and it says: mystery, drama, game, thriller. So, I guess they really got rid of all that stuff? Meh, this actually makes me wondering what they did with it-->sparks interest. Who is "Touma" by the way?
I think I will go Shion no Ou-->Saikano because I lack information about the other Last Exile anime. I just hope I can start with the marathon afterwards, would be a shame if it isn't ready by then. Too bad I can't watch Monster as a "filler", still haven't found the(non-torrent) Soldats subtitles.

It feels like they're making excuses. At least in Tsukihime they did it because they wanted to. -_- Shirou and Sakura do it because Sakura wants it...badly Also, 4 more episodes until I finish Terra e..., was pretty disappointing. And I still don't know why every female character wears lipstick -.- Another thing is, they killed Seki Ray Shiroe which was such a good character. Way to ruin it, they should have done that with Suena instead. After that, I still can't start my Gundam UC marathon. Need something to fill the time in between, dunno what though. I have several choices: Blue Gender Cluster Edge(got bad ratings) Last Exile Legend of the Galactic Heroes(continue it, but probably won't happen) Mnemosyne Otogizoushi Phantom - Requiem for the Phantom RahXephon Saikano(apparently they cry all the time there) Shion no Ou Blue Gender would be a good choice to watch. I enjoyed the show. The show is very dark, and I really liked the mecha vs alien parts. I think not enough people have watched the show for whatever reason, which is unfortunate IMO.

+ Show Spoiler [LoGH END] +Rubinsky's master plan was pretty lol. It seemed to surreal to be possible, even if he is super influential. Reinhard's death felt kinda unnecessary. It was like they killed him so that he'd become a legend. Basically, it didn't seem necessary to the advancement of the story. I did like Oberstein's death though. It leaves his motivations nice and ambiguous. He's one of the most interesting characters I've ever seen. ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/cel32.png) Now, it's Kircheis time! ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/CIY19.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/Qs3DZ.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/dc5C2.jpg) Well, it's been fun!

+ Show Spoiler +Reinhard's death was so dumb. And Oberstein's death made me sad. He did all that shit to make the Empire a better place, and everyone hated him for it. I'm glad that none of the other (Imperial) admirals died at the end though. Merkatz I'm still a bit upset that Julian fell in love with Karin. She was a boring character, IMO. It'd be nice if there was an epilogue of some kind. I'd like to know what all the characters did after the series ended. Especially what happened with the Empire. I'm sure that there was quite a bit of unrest after Reinhard died. And lol. If Siegfried Kircheis were still alive, everything in life would be perfect.

However, I can only wonder what would have really happened if he were alive... I really really liked Oberstein. Great man

Can someone expalin to me just what kind of a monster of a VN Kagetsu Tohya is? I read the charm of this VN is to replay it 12-13 times to get all the CGs because the VN keeps changing with every choice you make! T.T I love Tsukihime as much as the next person, but I need help deciphering the flowchart that goes along with it. The flowchart blows my mind. It's like it's not even in English. I can't understand it at all. Is "Flgl>=7 Flgl<5" supposed to be choice number 3, or what? http://www.4shared.com/document/SW6Mmizc/Kagetsu_Tohya_Flowchart.html This is the flowchart "walkthrough" that's supposed to be <<very easy to understand>> which melts my brain the second I look at it. Halp plz D:
