This is the most tragic death in the series by far. Reuental's death was completely unnecessary - the only reason he rebelled was because of his pride. Even on the verge of death, he still remained loyal to the Kaiser by doing everyone a favor and killing Truniht. He even gives Mittermeyer what he and Evangeline wanted most...

And then Reuental dies without being able to drink with Mittermeyer once more. T_T

I guess the Alliance remnants will make their move soon. The empire is at its weakest right now, and there's also only 12 episodes left.




lol. The face Bittenfeld made after that was also pretty good.

Seems like the manga just follows the anime. Too bad, I was hoping for some new material.

That Bittenfeld scene was great. Bittenfeld is just like "Dude wtf? I thought we were cool?" And Mecklinger is awesomely poetic. Why has this guy appeared in like three episodes? : /

At this point, I wonder if maybe the Alliance guys will move into Imperial territory. There's no one there. Maybe they'll go capture Odin and force a treaty. Wait, it has the Artemis Necklace, right?

Did you guys notice that Reinhard has kinda turned into Heinrich lately? He's always in bed when he's on a ship, it seems.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Mecklinger was the only fleet left in Imperial space. Kesler is still in Odin though. Where the heck is Eisenach? We've seen him in all of what, two episodes? And one of those was just telling us that he liked coffee and brandy. At least it was a pretty funny scene.

I guess the reason we don't see much of Mecklinger is because other than being poetic, his personality is pretty boring. Bittenfeld we see because of his beserker strategy and hilarious straightforwardness. Reuental is the dark horse. Mittermeyer is righteous, courageous and loyal (well, the most courageous and loyal one. It's not like the other admirals are deficient in this sense). Muller is has ungodly dedication and endurance. Wahlen is badass because he has no arm. :3

To my knowledge, Odin doesn't have the Artemis necklace. Not that it's really done much for any of the people that relied on it. <_<

If Reinhard dies from some retarded incurable anime disease, I'm gonna be pissed.

I thought Kesler moved to Phezzan? I mean, the MP chief wouldn't have much use if he wasn't in the capital. I think that Mecklinger was the only one left in the old parts of the Empire. So now there's no one.

I wonder if Emil is a Cultist. Maybe that's the reason that Reinhard is always sick?

Yeha, I meant Kesler was in Phezzan, not Odin. My bad. Anyway, my point was that he'd be able to move and defend in the worst case scenario.

Thinking about it some more, it doesn't really make sense for the remnant to move into Imperial space. They're a pretty small force (~500 000), so they'll get obliterated in open space. It's more tactically sound to stay in the Iserlohn corridor where they can use the confined quarters to their advantage. In addition, if they were going to attack, they should've taken out Mecklinger's fleet. This would prolong the battle between Reuental and Mittermeyer, whittling down their numbers. I'm sure Julian's got something planned though.

I shouldn't have been surprised after watching five episodes of this stuff, but the transformation still caught me off guard. Magical girl dress and armor. -_-
