I have watched the first couple episodes of Frieren now and it's decent enough to keep it I think. That's likely the only thing while waiting for Pluto to be released because nothing else looks even remotely interesting to me right now.

Quite a fresh take on the fantasy genre to show it from the point of view of an elf who lives for thousands of years why everyone else around is dying of old age.

For a bit of context, not only has it been highly anticipated in the west, but a TV studio in Japan actually started its anime block (or the start of the channel period I forget the exact detail) with Frieren. That's why, or part of why, there were 4 episodes to start with.

But there are others I'm waiting to see if they develop before I make my list of what I'll watch this season. It's a pretty heavy season, so I'm sure I'll find something.

+ Show Spoiler + Is Kariya Kagetoki suicidal because he knows the age of the Samurai is coming to an end, while at the same time did he want, from the very beginning, to have the Shogun make sure Jin and Mugen met with Fuu so they could lead HIM specifically to Seizo Kasumi (Fuu's dad) all because he could not find him and his last mission was not finished. While knowing he would have one last good fight against someone worthy aka Jin? Thus he gets his one good fight while also completing his mission and if he dies at least it was the Samurai way....? I was stoned in the early AM and the thought occurred to me when watching the 3 part finale....

Eminence in Shadow was a good stand alone series. Not sure more content is a good thing. Will wait and see on it.

Granted, it's been years since I've watched it. But that never occured to me. I'll have to give it a rewatch one of these days to see if that pops out to me.
