Far more worthwhile to have a discussion with the individual about what they could be interested then match shows to that. You say she doesn't want anything to bring tears out. What does that mean? Fluffy shows like K-ON still have deeply emotional moments that can reduce you to tears. | ||

If she's a normie, which it sounded like to me, neither of those shows will appeal to her especially considering that both shows, Code Geass in particular, are exactly what she criticized. Death Note I can still kind of understand (that still sounds like more of a guy-thing than a girl-thing among non-nerds to me but whatever) but it's 3 people who independently from each other went "wat" when you mentioned Code Geass together with that description of her. Take that as whatever you want. | ||

Thanks, opinions well noted~ We'll see what we end up with. EDIT: honestly though you guys should sometimes remember that people who haven't watched anime before will not get all the intricate details of "good"shows. Hell, I'd show her monogatari if I could. | ||

I mean it fails the first step of not having at any point is a girl/woman that acts like an anime girl instead of a real girl? Gode geass is good fun, but it is cringey and silly as hell. If someone can't see that Code Geass would appear cringey and silly to someone who already thinks anime is cringey and silly, then you have fallen so far down the well that is anime, that you can't get out and see perspective from someone who isn't all that acquainted with anime. There is no hope for you. You will never reintegrate with society again. | ||
