Also idk if this is an unpopular opinion, I don't get why everyone loves 002 so much. She seems cool, but not top tier at this point.
Totally. Also, the kids' total cluelessness towards relationships would make sense if they're being raised in total isolation from society, but we're not sure this is the case because very few things have actually been set up about the world.

MAL scores mean nothing.
Do you have a list of what you have watched? Yeah but it's a bit of a mess. I added a bunch of stuff I want to look more into in my 'plan to watch' list but ehhh.. https://myanimelist.net/animelist/DwwwD?status=7Dont judge me pls lol
I would go with FLCL, it's an early 00's anime with great visuals, action sequences and totally bizarre coming-of-age story. It was made by Gainax and has only 6 episodes, so you can't go wrong with it.

I got Gantz on my list but I'm seeing lots of talk around Darling in the Frankxx... Is it any good? I enjoy lots of action, stuff where you gotta think and plot twists. Is it worth the time? It got a high rating on MAL too so.. for the love of god, don't watch gantz. Just read it instead. Good manga, bad anime adaptation.
I remember a while back I searched for it but couldnt find. I hate reading from a screen or an iPad or w/e so tried finding paperbacks or w/e suuuper expensive T_T

Great movie IMO. I don't read the LN so I can't compare to that but i liked it. It had a rollercoaster of emotions.

I read some random comment about Berserk (new manga stuff) that may cause me to want to actually start reading it. Can anyone confirm this?
+ Show Spoiler +Casca is finally starting to regain herself?

It definitely was quite the ride. Not having read the LNs either I expected a slightly more mature movie of the light-heartedness that the anime had. Instead got a very very satisfying movie that hit all the right strings to make me a lot more invested than I would have ever thought to be on NGNL.
Earned itself quite the recommendation from me I must say

How much pedo fanservice and asspulls are there in the movie compared to the series?
On another note: I realised I'm not watching a single series this season. First time since I started watching anime seasonally. I'm a bit demotivated to watch anime, which happens from time to time, but there is also nothing really exciting this season. Some stuff I would usually try/watch but atm. I don't feel like it.

The NGNL movie covered the war that led up to the god of games "winning" and becoming the supreme god right? I was halfway thru that novel when the translation was cut o.o

It's a certainly quite different to the happy-go-lucky stuff that you usually get. Not like it was amazing but it was a great watch. Like, I really didn't care aaaall that much for steph and all that but Kayano Ai was flat out amazing when she was voicing ... whatever shiro's name was again.

It's been some time that I've watched it but pedo fanservice, or fanservice in general is super few inbetween as the movie, on contrast to the series, is a drama. You do get some kind of "pedo" but not what you're thinking of.
As for asspulls, probably also less due to again, the fact that it's much more a drama vol than anything else he did

I remember in the first episode the MC was volutarily gonna quit after failing his pilot test. That's a strange option to have when you're being raised in isolation for one single purpose.

A very common theory is that failed pilots get "axed" and not just sent away.

Yeah, it's possible they were only given the illusion of choice of being able to quit.

Just a little bit of fanservice in the beginning, some jokes that were out of place in my opinion but the setting makes sure there is less of all that. Difficult to answer the asspull question since I dont know what is one to you. But if you are worried about similar things like the cointoss at the end of the series there is none of that.

I mean it's true I just wouldn't call it that as it's clearly not intended to be taken too seriously. It's entertaining trash. At leasts when it comes to the series.

She was my favourite character so having her essentially removed from the story made me not really care anymore. A broken casca who slowly rebuilds herself is something I can definitely get behind.

+ Show Spoiler +I mean her character itself dont do much but she is a major plot device moving the story, I think the current set of events is going to be alot more of an accelerate "unbreaking" than people are thinking.
