Totally. Also, the kids' total cluelessness towards relationships would make sense if they're being raised in total isolation from society, but we're not sure this is the case because very few things have actually been set up about the world.

I would go with FLCL, it's an early 00's anime with great visuals, action sequences and totally bizarre coming-of-age story. It was made by Gainax and has only 6 episodes, so you can't go wrong with it.

It definitely was quite the ride. Not having read the LNs either I expected a slightly more mature movie of the light-heartedness that the anime had. Instead got a very very satisfying movie that hit all the right strings to make me a lot more invested than I would have ever thought to be on NGNL.

How much pedo fanservice and asspulls are there in the movie compared to the series?
On another note: I realised I'm not watching a single series this season. First time since I started watching anime seasonally. I'm a bit demotivated to watch anime, which happens from time to time, but there is also nothing really exciting this season. Some stuff I would usually try/watch but atm. I don't feel like it.

The NGNL movie covered the war that led up to the god of games "winning" and becoming the supreme god right? I was halfway thru that novel when the translation was cut o.o

yeah I watched it and liked it a lot. It's a certainly quite different to the happy-go-lucky stuff that you usually get.
Not like it was amazing but it was a great watch. Like, I really didn't care aaaall that much for steph and all that but Kayano Ai was flat out amazing when she was voicing ... whatever shiro's name was again.

It's been some time that I've watched it but pedo fanservice, or fanservice in general is super few inbetween as the movie, on contrast to the series, is a drama.
You do get some kind of "pedo" but not what you're thinking of.
As for asspulls, probably also less due to again, the fact that it's much more a drama vol than anything else he did

Yeah, it's possible they were only given the illusion of choice of being able to quit.

Just a little bit of fanservice in the beginning, some jokes that were out of place in my opinion but the setting makes sure there is less of all that.
Difficult to answer the asspull question since I dont know what is one to you. But if you are worried about similar things like the cointoss at the end of the series there is none of that.

for him pretty much every game ended with an asspull. I mean it's true I just wouldn't call it that as it's clearly not intended to be taken too seriously. It's entertaining trash. At leasts when it comes to the series.

+ Show Spoiler +I mean her character itself dont do much but she is a major plot device moving the story, I think the current set of events is going to be alot more of an accelerate "unbreaking" than people are thinking.
