Really, I feel like there is always that one guy who complains about you following the rules or doing the right thing...
well, I didn't really get out of my car to talk with him since it was all still on the road but that's just what I assumed his reaction was considering the amount of flashing lights I was getting from him after the fact~
But yeah kinda weird. Especially considering that it was a truck just 2 or 3 cars ahead of him. He probably should have been able to see himself what happened and even if it had been someone breaking because of something else he didn't see, idk why he'd assume that someone is hitting the breaks while going 150 for shitz and giggles.

so I finally watched Your name. FUCKING LOVED IT
I mean seriously, I was so afraid that all these super expectations I've built over the months/years of waiting would be my downfall, but damn.. I don't think I've ever had an experience like this when something I've been so anxious about actually delivers bigtime in the end.
+ Show Spoiler + At the end I was literally begging Makoto Shinkai to not do his trademark "Walk past the person and not realize it was them" or "Walk past them but not speak out because reasons" thing. Thank god.

Well, for some reason people are always assuming you are doing it because you are stupid or just because. For example, somebody recently flamed me for pressing the breaks (hard) in a pedestrian zone (bikes allowed) to avoid smashing a small child who suddenly jumped in front of my bike without looking. Because of that the woman behind me almost crashed with me. I don't know why she was going that fast or was that close to me in a pedestrian zone full of people but of course it was my fault for suddenly pressing the breaks. When I asked her if I should have hit the child instead in her opinion, she answered that I should have rung the bell instead of pressing the breaks. lol

One of us! One of us! + Show Spoiler + Yeah the ending had me really worried there too. I was close to actually screaming at them to just recognize each other, when I was watching the first time. Ending it in the way Shinkai did felt just so much more satisfying.
Also just finished watching the last 3gatsu episode. Unexpected "fighter" adaption but I really liked it there. Seems very well placed with the upcoming second season in Fall )

+ Show Spoiler + I mean the bastard even dared to do that scene on the bridge near the end, where they passed each other, he noticed her bowtie thing, and turned around for a few seconds, but then kept walking anyway, and then Mitsuha turned around for a bit, right after Taki resumed walking. Shinkai did that on purpose just to have everyone who knows his work think that's how it'd end sadly, but then he gives that glorious sweet relief in the end. lol

A friend of mine recently told me that, apparently, the average speed for commuters in germany is about 170 km/h or so...
Finished 3-gatsu now as well. It ended on a high note for me because the fighter chapter was strong imho. The show was really good overall, looking forward to the next season in fall.

Anybody here follow Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu?
At first I was skeptical about the second season after the first few episodes because I thought Yotarou seemed annoying and the first season wrapped up so well, but the rest of the second season grew on me more as Yotarou calmed down a bit and the story started focusing more on Yakumo's struggles. The last few episodes especially have really elevated the season so much.

Yes, I was also skeptical at first but by episode 4 I actually enjoyed s2 a lot more than s1 for the reasons you stated.

I think I started enjoying s2 from episode 4 and onward, and the episodes just kept getting better. I thought s1 was solid enough, and you still need that solid s1 to really enjoy the impact of s2. Both seasons together form such a great package that I think will become a quintessential view.

Just watched the last 3 episodes of Kaze no Shoujo Emily. What a great ride overall, I didn't expect this show to be that good. I shed some tears - out of sadness as well as happiness - during those last 3 episodes which made me realise how strong of a connection the show managed to create between me and some of the characters. It's definitely an overlooked piece of animation. The character development is top notch imho. The show also features a small but solid soundtrack, beautiful art and quite a bit of detail in the animation that helps you connect with the environment. I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a slow-paced coming-of-age SoL, set in rural eastern canada sometime around 1900.

I agree, although I must admit that I don't remember too many details of s1. I remember how the story went in general and some of the later, imho more memoriable episodes but didn't have any deep connection with the show. I just thought it was very solid but not really my type of show to fully enjoy. Season 2 changed that completely for me from ep4 onwards.

3-gatsu is finished? Should finally get all the rest of the eps then and watch before S2 comes out. Did they fix any of your issues with it towards the end Miragee?

Hum not really. There were always some really strong chapters, mostly the ones with the three sisters or the rather melancholic/depressing/emotional ones. A lot of episodes had one of these strong chapters and one that felt ok or rather mediocre to me due to the issues I have mentioned before. In the end I thought it was a really good show but it left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth because I thought it could have easily been a lot better.
You have 6 month before s2 comes out btw. so more than enough time.
