+ Show Spoiler + The idea is to fall into my trap and think it's a comedy. Because that's what anyone would expect. haha Angel Beats It was a good show, but it could have been a lot better. It was crammed and all over the place. If it had 2 seasons, it could have explored all of the characters and developed a much deeper and stronger story. 50 episodes, not the 13 or so it got. Jun Maeda can make great scripts/stories (Clannad) But definitely not for a 10+ character cast in only 13 episodes... I hope Kyoto Animation will make a remake sometime in the future  Like how they remade Kanon (both Kanon and Angel Beats were done by company different from KyoAni, although KyoAni usually adapts a lot of Key Visual Novels and other works).Haven't heard of a 2nd season o.o gosh that will be bad news if it's true. It would be much better imo if it were to be remade by KyoAni. Come to think of it, that bonus episode came out in December already didn't it. Geez time passes fast xD | ||

The "Boring Subtitles" that come with the movie are readable. Who knows, with all the "hype" around this movie, maybe it would be better if I kept seeing people call each other a kisama yatsu tachi. | ||

The story seemed like it was going to start off cute and such, but it sure did take a pretty dark and nasty turn. Infact I've been grinding away what seems to be the same general story in the same general scene in like the last...5-6 animes I've watched. Clannad Kanon Shuffle! Tora Dora! True Tears Kimi Kiss Air ... and probably some others that are all generally the same. I really liked Clannad After Story though. | ||

For some strange reason I'm really excited for it. I finished Lucky Star, and though it might've been boring to a couple people, I really really really liked it.  Maybe I just have weird tastes. -_-x @Tonight: I liked Toradora better than After Story. To me, Clannad's selling point was the sadness and the bad things that happened. After that, I really didn't enjoy some of the arcs (wtf is with the gang violence arc >.>). | ||

I didn't care for the Arcs at all. Clannad was just silly and cute and was nothing too memorable, but After Story really brought it home with all the emotional build up and family stuff. The way the ending brought everything together was really excellent for me too. That and that fucking Dango song got stuck in my head for like a month, no joke. ToraDora I really did like as well, but something about the animation just threw me a bit. | ||

I guess I just didn't like how Clannad almost seemed like it was trying to beat a dead horse in terms of evoking an emotional response. I have nothing too much against because it worked on me no matter how I resisted, but it was something I realized in retrospect. Toradora's animation was off? Hmm.....never thought about it much, but I see what you mean. I think it might be that everything was bright as hell, and it might've been an eye sore now if I remember correctly. | ||

I think I see what you mean about the animation. Sometimes the framerate can look really low, or somethings just look weird... (like that fight + Show Spoiler + with Taiga in the classroom with I forget her name haha About the dead horse... I see that too. But in After Story that seemed to be less obvious, or they just improved overall. In the first season the Fuuko arc was a bit hard to watch through, I felt it dragged a bit too long at times although some parts were emotional. Kotomi arc was better, and then in After Story everything was beast (I LOVE Sunohara / Shima arcs) I have to applaud KyoAni for being able to keep Clannad well paced with good comedy. And then the 2nd Season was a little more serious overall, for obvious reasons, which was planned well since people would be more used to the drama and not need to "refresh" themselves with the comedy. But the comedy was quite funny | ||

Coming from that sort of Harem highschool genre it was probably right up there as my favorite. | ||

Finally got around to watching all the Mahjong related anime, Tetsuya, Akagi and Saki. Makes me really want to learn Riichi mahjong in my spare time although from what I hear it's the least popular and most complicated form of Mahjong  . | ||

In my opinion, it's also the best variant because the payout system forces you to pay for everything when you deal into a ron. Thus defense actually means something. Deciding to concentrate on defense is also actually viable (it's much harder in other variants) since the discard pool is organized and furiten exists. Overall, it's actually not that complex. + Show Spoiler + So, basically the entire movie is about them fighting endless amounts of alien space needles, then the 00-Qan[T] pretends its Turn-A and teleports, and then all the aliens turn into a giant space flower. Oh yeah Graham died. Well, I suppose its a good thing my expectations were pretty low lol @Spazer/Original Gundam talk: + Show Spoiler + Newtype stuff comes on later in the show, when they go back into space. | ||
