Another really good episode of Ushio to Tora, right now it's my 2nd fav airing anime. The last two episodes were so good. Though overall it has many mediocre episodes as well. Only one thing bothered me about the most recent episode: + Show Spoiler +Why did they have to tell us that the Beast Spear gets destroyed right at the beginning (episode title) when it happened as the last thing? Was really obvious then. -_-
Hakumen no Mono welcomed Ushio to the dark side, lol. Man they are all so powerless against him... without that barrier he'd be absolutely insane (hell, he already is). Obviously I expect Ushio to play a big role still, but what will happen... can't wait to see.

I enjoy watching Kabaneri. agree, kabaneri has been a decent watch despite some of the odd and bizzare moments.
I dare you to find me an anime where someone doesn't think there is an odd or bizarre moment.

Bizarre moments are the best. Like in GaoGaiGar, when the Vice-Principal goes into the bathroom, and opens up a stall, and... + Show Spoiler +

Quite the fun watch for kuromukuro. + Show Spoiler +Fight was pretty good overall and that explosion at the end, unreal. This does raise a lot of questions with this recent revelation.

Could've named it, commence destruction or something but oh well.
Hakumen no Mono is amazing and freaking insane. He's also legit evil and I loved how he got Ushio to feel even more hatred. I'm not sure how they are going to defeat him tbh though I doubt Asako is dead and I feel that he'll end up becoming a ray of hope later on and in turn, decrease the fear that Hakumen generated and that will make him weaker. Dunno what they plan to do about Japan sinking though lol.

I think Kabaneri is quite watchable. Lots of stupid acting characters but the action and animation is nice. Mayoiga is another caliber. I only watch it for the comedy but even that is hard at times because it's so damn terrible. I have seen worse things though. Like Umaru-chan a few seasons ago. That one was so unbearable that I could only finish it because I was watching it with a friend. Or those K-ON! specials: only 2 minutes each but I couldn't get past ep2 because it basically showed the characters on paper - which is a terrible idea when the characters are based upon each bullet points each...

I enjoy watching kabaneri and mayoiga. Kabaneri has goddess of the season mumei for one so that one is glorious.
Mayoiga is meh but entertaining enough to watch. I enjoy watching some of the characters on screen like koharun. I'm ready for her to be evil mastermind.

But but Goddess of the season is between Rem and Emilia.

i was so looking forward to mayoiga but it was such a trainwreck i couldn't help but drop it

So, decided to watch Mayoiga and caught up to episode 6. It's not as much of a trainwrech as I anticipated but dang, can someone please please please give the MC a smack on the head? Probably one of the most gullible and stupidest MCs ever:
+ Show Spoiler +He gets clingy to some girl that he just met who obviously gave him signs that she doesn't want him to get attached. He takes on tasks without realizing their potential repercussions and doesn't think a lot of things through at all. That's on top of him being ok with taking the blame for things he hasn't done which can lead to his death considering the state of panic everyone is in after they hear all those sounds. There's probably more but these are enough. My suspicions are that Koharu still knows more details or something. Like the song that was never mentioned before until later on or the information regarding Masaki though she explains that she didn't mention it due to her being in suspicion. My guess (based on revelations so far) are that the whole starting over is probably about facing your darkest secret etc... Maybe previous people got over their fears and then left to live a new life somewhere else? I have a hard time believing that they all just disappeared in thin air or died (someone must've beaten their fears?). That or there were no previous people before though fields are still in good condition (Koharu does seem surprised here early on). I was actually contemplating early on that this was some controlled testing environment (reminds me of the village: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368447/) with Koharu being heavily involved.
Icehism, I also wondered if she's some mastermind as well lol, maybe knows something that no one else does (see spoiler).
edit: update after watching latest episode of Mayoiga: + Show Spoiler +guessing Masaki is the lone survivor when she went for Nanaki previously. She's obviously not a ghost but doesn't seem to be haunted by anything unlike the rest. Chances are that she'll tell them to face their fears if they want to return to their previous life or not do so and stay stuck in the village. There must be something else though?

Dropping Kumamiko. The jokes in the manga weren't even that good to begin with, but they're dragged way out in the anime. It's a lot easier to digest in 5 minute bites. I haven't read the Flying Witch manga, but it feels like that show has a very similar problem.
Kuromukuro 6 had a pretty decent fight. Not much else of note there though. I still think the show is at its best when it's doing fights or sol. I'm not confident they can pull off a satisfying plot.
I dropped enough stuff this season that I was able to finish Space Dandy. Not half bad. I didn't care much for the comedy, but the show had variety, and it had it in spades. Guess that's what happens when you have a million guest directors and let them go buck wild. There were some surprisingly good stories thrown in the mix.

Man, Mayoiga is so bad... I'd totally drop it if I wasn't sort of enjoying the madness of the characters. That and I want to know how the story ends, even if I don't except it to make much sense (A Lost-like ending is always possible tho). + Show Spoiler +Lots of things make no sense to me right now. If those monsters are ghosts created from fear or w/e, OK. But the penguin hit Mitsumune physically, while Masaki was just walking through (while apparently not being a ghost)... huh?

+ Show Spoiler +Maybe they only appear for that one person? In ep6 the others couldn't see the monsters that a single character saw, right?
Anyways, the scene where Lovepon threw up on the guys back was gold. :D
Nice cliffhanger as well. Superb script.

It's funny because I continued watching Hellsing Ultimate this week with a friend and the exact same happened there. :D
On another note: Sakamoto was really good again this week. Ushio to Tora episode was really good as well. Kabaneri was decent. On to Joker Game ep6. What a great season.

After Kabaneri 3
+ Show Spoiler +I really hope that the Mumei fighting for only so long is not a constantly reoccurring thing. Oh no big zombie battle, Mumei: "gotta go sleep good luck". Other than that the show is keeping my attention.

+ Show Spoiler [Joker Game ep6] +Excellent episode once again. Loved the notion with the kids and the manipulation. The only thing I'm not entirely sure what to think of is the purposefully placed glas of wine for the children to knock over. Was it only to get the children out of his way for a moment to have room to make his move?

Yeah, Hamkumen is not your usual villain. It is a real monster. In a lot of shounen, people rarely get killed by the villains. Hakumen just kills and tortures everyone.
+ Show Spoiler +Still not sure how they going to beat Hakumen without the spear.

Sakamoto desu ga? reminds me a lot of Angel Densetsu. Instead of being perfect the MC is terrifying and everyone assumes he is a vicious hoodlum while in actuality he is kind and a pacifist. It involves a lot more fighting than social situations. Is manga only though it did get an OVA. The art is pretty bad early on, but it's still a funny series.
