Anyone know if a season three is in the works? I take it that it was well received when it aired? + Show Spoiler + I want to know if Mikage made it into college and if Hachiken finally found what he wants to do. Gotta feel bad for Komoba though :/ Also, started watching mobile suit gundam, the movie trilogy. Seeing only so many suits in a battle feels odd, guess I got spoiled with other/later times mech anime haha. Char is such a boss, like his character. + Show Spoiler + Still haven't been told much about his history with his sister though I read that there's a movie about it. Bright is such a hard ass. Sure, try and stick to the book but these are kids who just got drafted on the spot. Given, I do like his character overall so this doesn't bother me. Having the kids running around adds a bit of much needed comedy which I like. Gotta feel for Fraw Bow seeing as Amuro doesn't even take much notice of her emotions and was more invested in someone like Matilda before she died and a newer lady in the third movie from what I read. It's been a good watch so far though at times, feels like things could've been done better and the first movie had some rather boring moments. Overall, would still recommend the watch. Onto the third movie! :D

Few Mobile Suits in a battle increases the 'weight' of them, and things like taking down a single Zaku, or a single Gouf has that much more importance. More modern shows will have beam spam and Mobile suits just getting gunned down like nothing, such that a single Mobile Suit getting taken down isn't much of anything. Enjoy the 3rd Movie, it contains the most of the most reanimated parts of the trilogy. Gundam I and Gundam II didn't have much in stuff that was redone for the Movie version, but Gundam III does. Although RIP the Zakrello, which got cut from the film verison... And I suppose now I can't complain about you not having watched 0079 lol

I agree with what you're saying, it means much more when a single mech is destroyed but the battles don't feel as epic especially when it's 3v3 for most battles (guntank, gunbattle and gundam (lol at naming XD) vs 2 zakus and 1 gouf for ex). I think the best would be a mix. Some rather large battles and several smaller ones that are just as important strategically. I would be satisfied with that. Sounds good, excited to see space battles again. Once I finish the trilogy, onto zeta! lol well, as I was watching unicorn, they were dropping lots of references to previous gundam shows and without watching them, it's a bit difficult to get what they're referring to ^^

Onto the third movie! :D + Show Spoiler + I agree with Sent here: Less mecha are most likely better because it increases the weight of a single unit. This is not only true for mecha, of course, but for every other battle as well. Letting kids run around on a battle ship was one of the stupidest and most annoying things imho. I don't need comedy/comedic relief just for the sake of it and I don't like it when shows try to force it in even though it doesn't really fit.

The role reversal in the second half was something I haven't seen too much. The first half has Yuji being the normal guy, with Marlene being the "unfeeling" automaton, but come the second half it pretty much reverses everything, which was an interesting dynamic. Also threw in a ton of psychopaths lol. I feel like if it had some good animation to back it up, the second half would have been a lot better.

I hope they go back to 1v1s and bring back most of the season 1 characters. Try showed they can't do 3v3 well, and Try also didn't really have any good rivals except for Tryon 3. All of which could be fixed with 1v1s and the s1 cast! Reiji and Aila plz
