Wait? is that season 2 of majestic prince? What do you mean by extra 25 episodes?
I"M SO HYPED RN
the movie will be glorious as well.
MJP is 24 episodes. Come fall, they are rebroadcasting it, except now it will have an extra episode, or a 25th episode. Following that, we get a movie.
Orange going ham on a movie budget.... Its going to be glorious.
Heavy Object is over. Great show. Fro is a god and the rest of the cast are enjoyable. The blobs they call objects are generally meh but outside of that and some questionable asspulls for what they pull off it was a great show.

the emperor has done like a complete 180. 1st part of the series he was a huge jackass and seemed to be like what the prince is now but now he is trying to be good? Idek.
against it back in the first half but if you recall, he saw Japan's "brutality" with his own eyes when prince Zolzal got his ass handed to him by the SDF. On top of hearing about them taking down the dragon and other notable achievements among the people, it's understandable that he'll slowly swing to their side. If you can't beat them, join them?

Gate was great too. Poor Itami. :D Now this one is over as well... will miss it.
ya :/ Though I didn't fully like the idea that Heavy Object seemed to have separate unrelated stories early on, I always enjoyed watching it and will miss it for sure. Same with gate. Beginning of the second season wasn't as entertaining as the first but it improved quite about halfway through.
Definitely, the unrelated stories were a bit sad, but the characters were just entertaining. <3 Frolaytia (that workout in EP 23 :D) and Qwenthur + Havia talks were often funny too.
Their talks were always great and the VAs did a fantastic job imo. Kinda wish there is a season 2 but at least I can always just rewatch episodes again.

I think the idea is that people change. He was ruthless in the first season. After all. he sent all the other nearby nations' armies to their death at Arnus Hill despite knowing what will happen but as season two progressed, to me at least, it felt like he's been slowly dialing down his rhetoric. Heck, he even agreed to have peace talks before finally agreeing with Japan's method in this last episode. Maybe the transition could've been better or he shouldn't have been made to look for ruthless in the first season but I don't think it's that crazy of a leap.

They didn't show a logical progression at all. He went from being ruthless with troops and strengthening his position to begrudgingly accepting some talks with japan while plotting against them to....giving up? Its like right before he got poisoned he just said "fuck it you deal with this shit prince". Then he wakes up and hes all gentle and nice to Pina...when he treated her pretty badly in S1. Like she was totally just a joke to him and he condescended the hell out of her.

The Emperor was one of the most powerful people in his world. He was so powerful, he sent armies to invade Japan. Then Japan comes back - still he thinks he is powerful. Gradually, Japan keeps doing things that prove there is no way for him to win a war. Which Pina has been telling him for awhile. He makes Zolzal crown prince; his son is an idiot, if the empire capitulates under his idiot son, his reputation does not get hurt. His idiot son's bright bunny slave poisons him, and he is then saved by Japan. But Japan can save his country from what his idiot son has done to it, and they like Pina. If he steps aside (as he did for idiot son) he's signalling that the old leadership is backing away, taking perhaps some of the issues regarding things like sending unprovoked attacks into downtown Tokyo. Politically, it all makes sense assuming the primary motivation of the Emperor is to preserve his country, after trying the way he knows how to do based on his entire life's experience and then gradually coming around to realizing that Japan is too strong if it comes to open warfare and (harder sell) Japan doesn't really want to conquer the Empire.

Neat stuff. Been wanting more MJP ever since it stopped airing.
RIP Sukeroku. It had to happen and here it is. I expected that Miyokichi will be part of the reason why he died and wasn't wrong. Glad we'll be back to the present in the last episode, more of adult Konatsu!

It was a good episode, yes. Still a punch in the gut. + Show Spoiler +
It seemed like there would be possible for there to be a period of better time, even at the very end before that railing broke. And then Konatsu only had one daddy.
Meh the last episode of uta2 :[ all the pay off from this show will only be in the VN unfortunately, but where they left the story off was pretty depressing.

There'll be an anime for the 2nd part when the 2nd part of the VN is actually released. I bet. This season of uta2 completely covered the first part of the 2nd game. No reason not to have a second season of uta2 when it comes out.

Yeah, I definitely felt bad for her. I can't even blame her for not noticing, Haku looks too similar to Oshutoru and with the mask pretty much identical...
On MAL they say the next game comes out in September so we might see a season 3 somewhere around there?
