so finished Dimension W Everyone seems to be shitting on it, especially the last couple episodes and I thought it was just fine. Not good but not like it was really that crappy either. Pretty average for a decentish show I won't remember having watched in a couple weeks. So if you want to be mean the best description probably would be forgettable but again, I don't think it necessarily crossed the line for being rememberable for being bad. And it certainly wasn't AS bland as other forgettable shows from recent seasons (I'm looking at you asterisk)

Pretty sure you don't mean MAL at least (and here no one talks it, maybe on IRC?), since there the couple last episodes were rated among the best and I agree the last arc was the best of Dimension W by far.

I thought I'm the only one who kept watching it so not really much from irc past episode ... 4 or something like that. Same for in here really, we had some talk early in the season and really just us two who thought the show was okay I think? Other than that ANN: Dimension W's recent crash especially hurts because the premise did have potential. Dimwub is a cool concept that immediately conjures a number of narrative and thematic possibilities. The plot is too nonsensical to ignore and on top of that, this isn't even a good action show. The direction remains weak, the animation quality has plummeted, and the art style has been brought down by a series of increasingly questionable character designs. I wish that I could say something good about Dimension W, but I honestly can't think of anything by this point. To be fair, this episode isn't especially worse than the two that preceded it – it's all just starting to wear on me more. All the same problems, over and over. It's like being stuck in a time loop.
Grade: D as well as on their podcast some time ago that I listened in on when ragz linked me the KonoSuba review. The two on there were shitting on it being possibly the biggest nosedives in recent times as well so really I don't remember anyone saying something good about it for weeks lol.

I'm watching Dimension W and like it, although it's a bit forgettable maybe.
Asterisk S2 here I come. Wait, who was in that one? I keep mixing up the main girl in that one and Cavalry.
But Claudia is OP.

Grimgar + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CekNhkVW8AE06Zu.jpg) I love it. I rate this mary/10. Haru better protect mary's smile It was sooo lucky that mystic eyes of death perception showed right at that moment.
Schwarzesmarken + Show Spoiler +
NOOOO irisdina T_T. Even Beatrix is dead. At the end, ponytail is dead but ahoge lives. Sent was right all along. I wish that there was more beta combat though. It was really rushed as well.

Psh. + Show Spoiler [Grimgar] + Mary is a thieving cat. Haru is Yume's rightful property. Don't even try to suggest that they were maybe trying to angle a Yume/Ranta thing, that ain't happening.
The ending though I would rate at about a Shihoru/10.
Of course, Barbara is probably the biggest threat to Yume getting her man.

While true, considering the anime is 12 episodes for two Visual Novels/7 LNs worth of content, they did surprisingly well with what they had to do.
Overall, I really enjoyed Schwaresmarken. While not as godlike as MLA, it was miles better than Total Eclipse. Here's hoping the VN Demo does well, so we might get the full thing translated in the future!

The VN is a 2 parter (part 2 hasn't come out yet), and so far has covered about half of the LN's story (the LNs are finished). The anime finished the story, and I know for a fact that some minor details were changed (nothing too major, more like circumstance around events or how X people died, etc), but overall it followed the story. The VN is apparently route based too. I'm really surprised they ended the anime where they did. Anyone who doesn't know what happened after the anime ends want to know what happens???
The Kickstarter got like over $1M in its run, enough to even fund the demo. So I'm hopeful for a Schwaresmarken VN sometime in the future. I dunno if I would want Total Eclipse, but I'd really like to Iris Route.

Shows that ended and my impressions :
Boku Dake ga : This is probably my favourite show of the season, even though it lost some of its magic about halfway through the show. The ending was also only OK. (Score : 9-9.5/10 : great music, great introduction, great setup. The conclusion is average, but it gives this show a good closure, so I guess there's that)
Bubuki/Buranki : The last episode was strange as it developped Reoko character. If only they could have done that earlier in the season... I usually welcome grey antagonists. However, it's kind of a letdown IMO as they appeared to be pure evil early on... They probably could have done a better job. Also, not a big fan of the late introduction of the other countries' bubuki's users. (Score 7/10 for the entertainment value. Do not expect anything from the confusing story though...)
Dimension W : I got hyped after the first few episodes. Sadly, the show couldn't build on that amazing setup + characters. The introduction of so many collectors + secondary characters also kind of broke the tempo of the show. (Score : 7/10 - Lots of wasted potential in an intriguing universe)
Gate S2 : Gate S1 was amazing and got me into the manga. Gate 2 lost its magic, maybe because the team got too big and most of the characters felt completely useless. The MC harem is big and unique, unfortunately, the other characters are taking all the time. The political setting is weak. It feels like they could have done a better job there. Also, in S1, the international threat was pretty much gone in S2 (I remember the episodes that featured the journalists : what happened to them? Why no more development in that direction?) (Score : 6-7/10 - I got bored watching it. The occasional JSDF raping Middle-Age armies wasn't enough to keep me amused)
Grimgar : Of all "caught inside a video game" shows, I think Grimgar tops my ranking along with Overlord. At first, I was annoyed at how slow the show was. Eventually, I grew into liking the cast of characters ; each of them felt unique and likeable. The MC's + party members insecurities, which played a big part in the show, were also well portrayed. (Score : 8-8.5/10)
Schwarzesmarken : Some people on Reddit have been saying that if we enjoyed Schwarzesmarken , we should watch a show called Muv-Luv. Thoughts? I enjoyed this anime. Nothing spectacular, just a honest show to watch. (Score 7-7.5/10)
Koyomimonogatari : That ending :O I might have watched too many Monogatari in a too short time. That said, this mini-serie was enjoyable, most of the time. (8/10)

Well, Schwaresmarken is Muv-Luv in a sense. Muv-Luv is a franchise originating from a is a visual novel series of the same name. Schwaresmarken itself is side story to Muv-Luv Alternative, which takes place in the early 2000s in Japan (as opposed to Schwaresmarken being in the mid 80s in Germany). I'm a huge fan of the visual novel. The original Muv-Luv Trilogy will be coming out officially in English on Steam in the near future. There is another Muv-Luv side story that has an anime, which is Total Eclipse. However, Total Eclipse sucked, and no one should watch it. The only Muv-Luv anime that exist are Schwaresmarken and Total Eclipse.

That final Grimgar ep made me feel so warm and fuzzy. I definitely was not expecting THAT to happen. + Show Spoiler +my only expectations were for them to GTFO from Deathspots. That 30g bounty at the end was niceeee~ .
And it was quite obvious how they were trying to make the romance pairings this ep lol. I chose mainly to ignore it. Y U M E B O Y S.
Sadly I know that this is one of those anime that will most likely not get a S2. I mean it would have to do ridiculously well in sales. And this type of anime which "breaks the mold" than your usual style of anime prolly wouldnt sell as much... right?
Anyways, good shieet. Solid 8.5/10 for me.

- Öffnet den eisernen Vorhang! = Open the iron curtain + Show Spoiler +
No idea if that's just german terminology so here's wiki in case: The Iron Curtain was the imaginary boundary dividing Europe into two separate areas from the end of World War II in 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991. The term symbolized efforts by the Soviet Union to block itself and its satellite states from open contact with the west and non-Soviet-controlled areas. On the east side of the Iron Curtain were the countries that were connected to or influenced by the Soviet Union. On either side of the Iron Curtain, states developed their own international economic and military alliances: - Member countries of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance and the Warsaw Pact, with the Soviet Union as the leading state
- Member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and with the United States as the leading country
Physically, the Iron Curtain took the form of border defenses between the countries of Europe in the middle of the continent. The most notable border was marked by the Berlin Wall and its Checkpoint Charlie which served as a symbol of the Curtain as a whole.[1]
- Wir brauchen keine Überwachung = We don't need surveillance
- Die Zeit für Revolution ist hier = The time for revolution is here (I guess you'd say "has come" instead)
- Der Freind sind die Beta, doch das Böse ist die Stasi = Typo but that's either "Our friends are the Beta, but the evil is the stasi" (god that sounds stupid in english) OR "The Enemies are the Beta, but the evil is the stasi". Freind is either supposed to be Freund (friend) or Feind (enemy). Or maybe it's an uta pun and it's actually both Friend and Enemy!
- Freiheit = Freedom
- Befreiung = liberation
- Lasst das Licht der Hoffnung un... Ursulas Banner sche... = Let the light of hope <something> Ursulas banner s... (could be shine? No idea who Ursula is though and what's inbetween, maybe under? "let it shine under her banner" ?
