Apparently they are doing prequel, but have no idea WTF they actually doing, so they made a PV using manga material even though it's not going to be in the OVA.

While the first cour introduced the characters it was mostly... boring. Issues were resolved almost as quickly as they were introduced and nothing compelling really happened. The second cour however seems to be utilizing the characters and setting far better and has actual 'drama' and conflict that is actually interesting and entertaining to watch. I'd rate the first cour maybe 6/10 but the second cour is already a solid 7/10. Good points, I completely agree. How boring it was depends for me on how much ive consumed that kind of show and I rarely do except for a change of pace and Im quite enjoying Shirayuki. I enjoyed the first season and im enjoying this one to. There is nothing special about it, its straightforward and well executed. I dont like issues dragging and the pointless melodrama that other shows have with issues similar to the ones that occur here. Alot of the issues that were solved quickly should have been solved quickly, it makes the characters more likeable aswell. + Show Spoiler + If a show made me endure Shirakyuki painstakingly study and fret over an exam for more than one epsidoe then the show is over for me, . I think your over rating how valuable being "compelling" is to this show. Id give both seasons a solid 7. if it was about being compelling then the show is undoubtedly boring. But its never pretended to be that and even now you kinda know the vibe is happy endings all round regardless of how grim they try to make things look. Nothing in the second cour makes me really want to watch the show more. Infact ive started skipping a couple of weeks and watching a few together, rather than watching it weekly, which leads me to believe I may have already gotten my fix. Well, compelling might have been the wrong word. Or it doesn't mean the same thing as in, say, a thriller. The stories just feel more enjoyable and thus it's less boring. That said, I didn't think the first season was boring. I liked it because of the atmosphere, the characters and the execution and thought it was cute. S2 is the same thing but feels more refined if that makes sense. That said, I would probably give both seasons a 7: s1 a weaker 7 and s2 a solid/strong 7. Shirayuki is pretty much the only show this season I really enjoy watching - as in, I don't feel bored even once during an episode. The only other show that comes close is Osumatsu-san. Schwarzesmarken is also ok but after that there is nothing. I have still not dropped Dimension W and Ajin but I haven't watched episodes in weeks. Bare in mind that I'm saving up Boku dake and Durarara for later. This whole thing might also be cause by my general drop in enthusiasm for anime. 6 month ago I would watch like 15+ shows a season even if most of them were complete and utter garbage. Now I even drop ok'ish animes because I'm bored. I also realised that the new season is "only" 3 weeks away. 6 month ago I would have already researched the next season by that point. Multiple times. Now I don't even know what's airing next season. It's strange. On March 12 2016 04:33 {CC}StealthBlue wrote: Just finished watching Your Lie in April on Netflix. Now I'm depressed. lol

Rakugo 10 was a great ep. They've gotten really good at using little touches of cinematography to help enhance the presentation of the rakugo performances.

Btw for anyone who has read them...are the Konosuba vols short? Been reading the "fan fiction" vols and they seem short, though it could just be me. Just wondering if they are legit translations or if they took a lot of liberties and cut stuff out to try to fend off the DMCA notices.

Its a great series so I do hope they decide to go ahead and animate it. Btw for anyone who has read them...are the Konosuba vols short? Been reading the "fan fiction" vols and they seem short, though it could just be me. Just wondering if they are legit translations or if they took a lot of liberties and cut stuff out to try to fend off the DMCA notices. Haven't checked the translations but just went there and it seems fine other than him not writing "stuff out in detail". No idea how to put that. More on that at the end. Generally speaking I feel it's standard LN/bunko size and it's about maybe 250pages per vol? Ragz will know way more about that than me so maybe ask him but the only things I can compare it to are: Saekano (I only have one but that's less), Hataraku Maou-sama (certainly more per vol) and Monogatari, which isn't the standard, small bunko but an actual book, thus the pages itself are about 50% bigger and especially the early vols are more pages as well. Mahouka I don't actually have myself but amazon claims that's a bit on the bigger end of things as well. + Show Spoiler [Pictures!] + ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() on the "not writing things out" part, here's what the first page is in original in text. Typing this down shouldn't be an issue as long as it's literally just the first page, right? his translation: + Show Spoiler + “Satou Kazuma-san, welcome to the after-life. Unfortunately, you have died. It might be short, but your life is over.” Someone suddenly spoke to me in a pure white room. The sudden turn of events confused me. In the room was a set of office desk and chair, and the one who announced that my life was over sat in that chair. If there was a goddess, she must be it. Her beauty was beyond the idols shown on television, she had glamour that surpassed humans. Her long blue hair looked silky smooth. what I'd translate it as just now: + Show Spoiler + 「Welcome to the after-life Satou Kazuma-san. Unfortunatly, you died just earlier. It was a short life indeed but it has ended.」 I was told so standing in the middle of a pure white room. Because it was this sudden I didn't understand a thing. Inside that room was a small desk and a chair. That person who told me about the end of my life sat in the chair. If those things you call a goddess really exist, surely the person in front of me would have to be one of them. A beauty that was entirely different from the cuteness you could see in idols on TV. Her beauty clearly surpassed humans. <Girl has long crystal-blue/transparent hair that gives off the impression of being soft/faint/pale. Not even trying to put that into english.> But again, I'm sure ragz knows more about that and can tell you wether or not I failed hard with that translation o/

And yea a lot of them are small books. I have the 1st DxD vol in Japanese and its very tiny, contrast that with the Kizumonogatari volume I have in english which is definitely a fair bit longer then every other LN I have.

That phantom witch is so goddamn cute, she's like Mai level cute i guess. Overall it's just a so-so episode. Probably better than the previous episodes when it comes to humor i guess. + Show Spoiler [Kono Suba 9] + Usually i don't enjoy ecchi themes but KonoSuba managed to make an ecchi themed episode so goddamn hilarious. So the episode begins with a ![]() HAHAHAHAHAHA ![]() Looks like kazumi-san is going to secret little shop called the "brothel" and get those "nice dreams". ![]() Oh so when they meant "dream" it wasn't a euphemism for anything it was actually a dream. What a service from succubis lol ![]() Kazuma's 2d "dreams" are real ![]() Oi oi Kazuma-san your inner lolicon is popping out lol (it's not lolicon damn konosuba is so misleading he actually meant an older woman like with the mature vibes) ![]() loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool ![]() Kazuma learned a new skill Oh no kazumi is faced with a dilemma. A test perhaps where he has to choose between having fun with his teammates and forgetting about the dream he signed up with the succubi's since drinking too much will prevent the succubi dreams to happen. Will he succumb to the temptation of the succubi's or the power of true friendship will prevail? What will he do ? ![]() LMAO kazuma pls After that just went crazy funny. Kazuma thought he fell asleep in the bathtub and thinking that darkness was the one was sent to his dream and of course since it's darkness shit turned into so much misunderstanding lol But of course nothing ever goes smoothly even if darkness didn't come in and kazuma dosed off since ![]() Aqua is actually godtier (seriously though if aqua isn't an idiot she should be so broken with max stats) evil extinguisher so the little succubi will be caught lol. Regardless Kazumi still wouldn't have the "nice dream" even without the darkness misunderstanding shinanegans. ![]() HAHAHAHHAHA Kazuma what a god Even for an ecchi episode, konosuba managed to make this into a pretty hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at later parts of the episode and when kazumi first entered the succubi office. Suprisingly this episode ended without a scene where Aqua begging on Kazuma. Seems like the next episode is a serious one.
