Any reasons? Hand drawn vs Computer drawn? I can't complain too much though ; the Korean stuffs seem to be updated weekly... whereas some of the manga I am reading haven't been updated in a longggggg time Is there a website that can tell me which manga is "dropped by the author", how often the chapters come out (or how often the subs come out)?

Reason they're in color is because pretty much all of them are webtoons and don't see print afaik. Mangaupdates.com for checking on series.

But the last episode was rather boring and bad, I think it's better to pretend it ended at episode 11 with them dying (like it seemed; even if I in theory like them to live on!). I liked the MC, which I think has a lot to do with that he wasn't a bratty kid, I pretty much like the GATE MC a lot for that reason alone, lol. Another reason why I prefered it over the movies is probably because it had some romance. I guess I'd rate the movies between 7 and 8 and 08th MS team between 8 and 9.Up next, as I'm going for it as chronologically as possible, is 0080: War in the Pocket. I read Sent doesn't like it very much, but I'll see for myself I guess.

08th MS Team: + Show Spoiler + IMO the Romeo-Juliet stuff in 08th MS Team was its biggest detraction. The first 6~ episodes were great, but then once Shiro decides he doesn't want to fight literal space Nazis who he has personally witnessed them massacring countless innocents, it started to take a downward spiral. Still some good parts in the final parts, but the sudden pacifism turn in the series was jarring, unconvincing, and misplaced. On a related note, when I first watched 08th MS Team on Cartoon Network a million years ago, the final episode never got aired. So for the longest time, I thought the last episode was the episode you talked about. Unfortunately, I was wrong lol...

But you were not so bad off with missing the 12th episode, it wasn't really worth watching.

Liking it will require you to like/empathize with the two main characters though, i think.

Could become good or bad, but it looks like the first Gundam that I'm watching that isn't almost only about military clashes.

I liked Alphonse overall He wasn't an amazing character, but he felt like a kid his age, which allowed me to empathize with him as a character.I can understand why you might not like him though.

I could have done that, would have been next in terms of the main storyline and airing order I think, but I wanted to watch the side stories that played before Zeta (which is in UC 0086 iirc) first. I asked Sent, he said any order is fine and I wanted it like this. ^_^

Mangaupdates tells you when scans come out. It's by far the best site for figuring out when groups die. For mangaka hiatus and whatnot, you have to follow the news. Incidentally, redhawkscans died at some point and I barely noticed. =/ I can't think of a manhwa that isn't a webtoon. It's part of why I tend to dislike them - the art often looks reeeally similar, and the panelling ends up being lacklustre because having to design for smartphones is very limiting. I followed a couple for some time because I liked the stories, but they eventually fell into the same traps that a lot of mangaka also fall prey to. The plot itself is fine, but rather unremarkable (or maybe even squandered). It also helps that 08th is home to one of my favourite fights in the series. Oldtypes for life. You should watch the 08th ova ("battle in the third dimension" or something) before you continue onto 0800. The animation is pretty unreal.
