All this gundam going on makes me want to go watch the originals. I watched Unicorn which I enjoyed but figured I missed out on a lot of the enjoyment by not knowing the history.

The whole are arc was nice, I liked the action and drama in this one. Next episode will probably be aftermath and prelude to the next arc (I haven't watched the preview).

I feel like most, if not all, of the significance in Gundam Unicorn is lost without at least the main weight of the main Original->Zeta->ZZ->CCA story behind it.

A part of me feels like i would've had way more fun watching ZZ(especially early ZZ) if i hadn't watched 79/Zeta.
ZZ just felt like such a huge slap in the face after zeta especially

There is a pretty big tonal whiplash with going from Zeta to ZZ. Its kind of hard to avoid. Its decent on its own merits, but it definitely doesn't feel like a Zeta follow-up.

I don't know if I wanna watch ZZ after Zeta after hearing all this over and over again...

Zeta is pretty serious, and gets pretty dark at the end. And ZZ picks up more or less where Zeta leaves off, but ZZ (for the most part) is a more bright and silly anime. Its not bad, its just a big gear switch.

Red hair being so rare, and his hair being closer to red than brown... plus, an absent father and the leader of the Lions being opposed to the twit Raj... I had some guessing since the blond kid was so determined to bring her back to him, and called him Pops. But c'mon. Red hair, dark red hair... no one else remotely red haired ever on screen... I would have been more surprised if he hadn't been her father. Kindof surprising he didn't figure it out himself if they ever talked about why two princes were chasing after this one girl.

I'd recommend watching more, though it is not flawless, but the action and animation is really nice.

Is there a website that can tell me which manga is "dropped by the author", how often the chapters come out (or how often the subs come out)? Mangaupdates tells you when scans come out. It's by far the best site for figuring out when groups die. For mangaka hiatus and whatnot, you have to follow the news. Incidentally, redhawkscans died at some point and I barely noticed. =/ I can't think of a manhwa that isn't a webtoon. It's part of why I tend to dislike them - the art often looks reeeally similar, and the panelling ends up being lacklustre because having to design for smartphones is very limiting. I followed a couple for some time because I liked the stories, but they eventually fell into the same traps that a lot of mangaka also fall prey to. The only webtoon i follow religiously is Tower of God. I do read others from time to time, but end dropping them at some point.
So many unfinished stories, it's sad But i'm assuming its because the author dropped the story, or maybe because the translators stopped doing it. I can't really blame any of them.

Geez, Phantom World was really really stupid again, but I sort of enjoyed this episode (still weak though). Lots of Mai screen time and swim suits. I swear almost every anime had beach episodes or at least episodes with girls in swim suits in the last week. Pretty sure it wasn't that much last season, lol.

episode 7 or episode 8 is the beach/fanservice episode before the finale starts for most random anime's. Not really surprising.
I thought we already had that last week with the cats but I'm not going to complain about mai in a swimsuit even if it was really stupid.
