I think you're supposed to feel sorry for him.  I don't know if it's because of the bad CGI but I personally don't really like the MC or any of the characters yet, which made the scene less of a deal for sure. + Show Spoiler [EP 5] +The old Ajin guy who wanted the MC to taste the torture and get angry at the humans had a cool action scene though, and it's probably the most interesting char so far.
I had dropped the anime already, but I guess I'll keep watching it since the manga is rated fairly well so I want to believe it'll just get better.

The manga doesn't get better. The original author isn't even writing it anymore and it was handed to the illustrator iirc.

Nah, I meant the anime could get better if the manga is decent.
Anyway, Phantom World EP 6 was not to my liking once again... I guess the only episodes I enjoyed so far were those with Mai action. Perhaps those single character stories are over now? Could be a good thing.

Also Hocchan gets even more shafted. The character I told goody about probably won't arrive for yet another week since next week seems to be the final of the first vol? So Hocchan introduction (which was also in LN1) will most likely come after that all. The 2nd book is the first time she actually matters anyways so should be fine.

It's context sent. Deen is pushing everything they got into Rakugo which is far above their standards in terms of quality. Now all they have left is their shittier teams. And shitty for Deen means absolutely horrendous compared to the general industry standard. With all this in mind I assume Toad is just happy they don't animate stickmans.

Needed Brain Base to do this season so it'd be good and sell well then they shaft season 2 off to DEEN to run it into the ground. Got it all backwards with DEEN doing the first season.

Whats the point in watching animation if the animation looks like absolute garbage? When you have alternate ways of getting Konosuba, why would you choose the anime when it looks that bad?

Well, gonna watch todays Kono Suba now and honestly I've been fine with the animation/looks so far, they're not great but they don't need to be, the anime has been so funny so far that I haven't cared at all.

Haha, Kono Suba made me laugh a lot again. Had LOTS of boob fan service this time though. + Show Spoiler +The quest was nice, I laughed how they didn't help Aqua at all. Finally she did something, guess she needs to have her life on the line! :D
Then that cursed sword knight... he got owned hard, was quite funny too. This episode had a little bit too few of Megumin though, but can't have it all. In the end, nice cliffhanger. ^^
Oh and looking at Toad's pic above.... yeah that looks a lot better in the LN. Still easily my AOTS, no other anime is that enjoyable for me and makes me want to see more as much.

Don't start with the path of Emnjay stuff, we don't need ADT's version of Godwin's Law here. Animation matters a hell of a lot for anime, considering that's the point. Its animated. Hence the name. Sometimes you don't have a choice, since its anime original, or the source isn't translated, etc etc. Apparently that isn't an issue with this show. So whats the point with intentionally watching the worst incarnation of the product? Read the LN or something, leave the shitty looking anime at the door, considering it brings practically nothing to the table. I guess its another story if you have no standards, but an anime looking shitty isn't something to be ignored.

So the question becomes "Is Yui Horie in a supporting role enough to save an anime?" I believe Elem would answer "no".

Finished Yozakura Quartet (still have to watch the sequel OVAs though). It was ok/watchable but that's it. I dunno Numy, if this is the pinnacle of Panty Shots I guess it just isn't my thing. Hime was adorable though, kind of carried the whole thing.
Started Durarara X2 (probably too soon but meh): 4 eps in and so far it's just as solid as the first season. I like this show. It's nothing absolutely amazing but you are almost never bored during an episode, just solid entertainment. Izaya's sisters are quite something. I can imagine Numy taking a great fancy to them.
