I guess about the time it went away from fake economics and into horo and her magical friends.
You mean Holo and Lawrence raising their adorable children. That's all I want. Books and books of that. Maybe throw in some magical friends adventures every now and then.

It started weak because I don't like Girlymatsu-san very much. Then came the race, that was very funny for quite a while. Though in the end it was a little bit too crazy, lol. But enjoyable nonetheless.
The race went completely crazy.^^ Although I kinda expected the outcome (some random guy you have never seen before). What happened to Juushimatsu in the end though? He pulled every dead person on his vehicle and remained there or what? Would have been awesome if he just carried everyone over the finish line, lol.

season2 when
But I mostly agree with what people said in there. Source sales mean shit for season2's. The sales aren't going to go down by not doing s2 and if anything doing s2 would probably not even give that big of a boost as s1 did, if at all. Unless maybe they change studies to something that hasn't got DEEN in it's name and you actually get something that resembles Kurone's illustrations.
So if DEEN wants s2 that probably means more of the costs being paid by everything that isn't the source-publisher because they clearly don't need it. So basicly back to BR sales and with how DEEN makes it look I'm not really confident in those

But DEEN doesn't have the license, DEEN has zero say about it getting a second season outside of agreeing to animate it, and it wouldn't be the first time that a show changes studios between seasons. This is why kyoani having the license for hibike is unique because typically the animation studio doesn't have the license and as such can't say "Yeah we'll make another season" as it isn't their decision to make.
Look at shokugeki no souma, its sales were pretty awful but it's getting a second season because source sales went up by a lot. Do you think they made another season of that anime because the anime itself was profitable? Fuck no. The anime itself was probably made at a loss but Shueisha is known for using anime as glorified ads even for shows that didn't sell well on their own, or don't sell at all. Plenty of their shows get a second season even if sales were shit(Or multiple cours for that matter).
Also atm Konosuba is being predicted to be at the top of this season in terms of sales. + Show Spoiler +

yeah I know DEEN has no license. I'm just saying that the people who DO decide those things usually don't care that much for a quick season2 because the increase in sales just won't be that big again. So if you stretch those out more it's probably better for the publisher of the LNs? I can't imagine a reason why stuff like NGNL isn't getting a season2 except for that very reason: It's still selling like crazy without a need for s2, so why would the publisher spend shittons of money on another anime.
And yes, I'm not disregarding studios changing, we've seen that with OreGairu just recently. I'm just saying that IF that happens that might actually give them another decent buff since its provides some reasonable change for people to get the books if they didn't already after s1.
Not really knowledgeable about Souma so can't really comment on that. Maybe it plays out different for Manga and LNs? And nice to know that the BR sales are supposed to be good after all. Havn't seen anything about that yet other than people shitting on DEEN (for a reason).

I mean it's not just souma it's fairly common with manga (Ass class is the same). The difference with LNs however is that they are a much much smaller market than manga. And most LN adaptions fail to sell both in terms of anime but also in terms of source material. For the vast majority of LNs a 'second season' is really just a split cour that was planned before the show even began airing(See asterisk or all 3 cours of DRRR that have been airing lately).
Often the LNs that actually get people to buy the LNs are also those that sell BDs and DVDs, because again it's a much more niche market.
Then there are also special cases like log horizon which is literally government funded so it got a second season for reasons that are entirely different than most anime.

I usually like sports anime, but Prince of Stride isn't something for me... I guess it's something for Fujoshi indeed. At least I'm not really enjoying watching it, I suppose don't like the sport too. But the animation is quite OK.
I'm prefering Ao no Kanata, but I think that's mostly because the main chars in this one are girls instead. Then again, I think I prefer the sport here too.
What sport? Flying Circus is a better fake sport than Stride!!
Yeah, the Fujoshi is strong with Stride. It's one of the things I haven't dropped but I'm not watching them as they come out either. I'm only two episodes behind and am not sure if I'll just wait until later to keep going.
