I don't like it at all, the studio that does Bubuki does it better imo.

Yeah, it's definitely better. It's still irritating, inconsistent and ugly though.

I won't deny CGI in general is worse for character movement. But at least it doesn't feel like low FPS / stuttering like it sometimes does in Ajin or Sidonia.

I believe I remember this show being hyped until people found it it was the Sidonia studio. Although for some reason there's like a cult following around Sidonia that likes to play up the animation as really good. Super weird.

Grimgar was decent. Dunno how people can be hating on it so much to drop after ep 1? Prolly one of the better rpgs fantasy conversion setups so far. I guess some of the characters were lackluster tho.

that going back old time to see someone you missed again hit me so hard. pretty awesome. The mom already didn't believe him back when the incident first happened. Also his memories of that time are vague. Smart guy friend is not necessarily a good guy, knowing how these stories tend to develop.

KonoSuba: 10/10 Boku Dake ga Inai Machi: 8/10 GATE: 7/10 Dagashi Kashi: 6.5/10 Musaigen no Phantom World: 6.5/10 (boobs and KyoAni, go figure)
and I still have to check Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut for random harem of the season, Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm because Gonzo, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 2 because I havn't finished s1 yet and Hai to Gensou no Grimgar (which everyone seems to be hating and dropping already but meh, I'll give it a shot)
EVEN IF I don't end watching any of the things mentioned below in the "still have to check out", that's already so much better than last season
Oh, and fucking Kizumonogatari. People waited YEARS for this. Literally. This can't be a bad season
No way, I think grimgar is awesome. The Watercolor backgrounds are good

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi had a good 1st 2 eps.

Grimgar is legit the only anime right now where I keep checking when it airs. Im really pinning a lot of hope on this show.

well, its in 9 hrs, so subs after that

Hmm, Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju episode 2 was nice (and short enough) that it didn't seem to drag as much as the first one. Except, I think, where it intentionally was paced that way to illustrate the differences between the two styles.
The music helps, but I think between the two styles, + Show Spoiler + rakugo is a bit more entertaining.
Nice period setting, too.

Not sure what to think of Divine Gate. I like the idea of different powers but the story feels a bit off?
Was nice to see Shirayuki back in action! + Show Spoiler +Interested to see why this mysterious blond fellow is interested in her. Imagine if he says something like he's her finance from the distant past rofl.

Uh, I think you're supposed to feel awkward about the first guy's performance. He's just not good at all when he does it the first time. Looking forward to seeing him get good.

Yeah, but even in the last episode the master's performance was a little meh - it had some energy to it (aka, better) but still didn't seem as engaging.
|
It might just be me but I found all of the Rakugo meh, the type of the master more so. If it wasn't for the "body language" I would have dropped it already, even though the drama in the first episode was rather good. I'll keep watching it but it's not one of the more entertaining animes in my eyes, but definitely a solid one and something different.

Before watching Ajin I thought you meant the usual movement stuff in bad cgi. As in, the movements look like done in a high viscosity liquid. Velocity and especially acceleration/deceleration of movements looks so awkward in low budget cgi. Now, after I have watched Ajin, I know it's even worse. It really looks like low fps/stuttering on top of what I described.

Also. Dat assss~ Nice to hear, gonna watch it now. + Show Spoiler [Grimgar Episode 2] +LOL, the group sucks right now. Reminds me a bit of the noob squad in Log Horizon, though they aren't annoying at least. :D
The second half ended up being rather bad. I mean, the music was nice and it isn't bad to see some of the world, but it was literally 10 minutes of that without talking or anything. Was too slow for me to enjoy. I hoped for something to happen at the very end, but got disappointed.
For me Dimension W ep 2 also kinda delivered, it was pretty fun to watch

But I really felt for the Dark Knight guy. He was all enthusiastic about eating at that food stand after his first kill, but now his mood was completely changed. Having their cherries popped and showing how they coped with it was something that not a lot of other game-rpg-fantasy animes did very well.
BUT DAT ASS DOE
