I don't generally call anything dropped if I don't continue it, because I don't think I've picked it up to begin with until I'm multiple episodes in. And of course, I'll start watching things if I see a lot of people in here talking about something in a positive way. | ||

IMO The Arbalest has better colors, but the Laevatein has that big sexy Howitzer Cannon. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + The first half felt really strong (despair + humanity getting massacred by Beta). The Cold War setting was also curious! But then, the kids arrived! More seriously, except for the sister/ look-alike sister, I thought the cast was decent. Only the girl who looks like the sister of one of the MC looked out of place ; everyone else seem to have the appropriate attitude for being in the military + in an apocalyptic world Also watched Madoka #3 movie. WOW. That ending :O Unsure how I feel about it :S It sure was rollercoaster of emotions | ||

From a quick glance at some of the anime this season: Hai to Gensou no Grimgar, Dimension W, Bubuki Buranki, Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, Active Raid are likely anime that I'll watch. This also includes Gate and Shirayuki! On an interesting note, Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm kinda sounds like Kuusen and Rakudai combined and Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut seems like another battle harem. Guess somewhat like Asterisk - the slightly different school setting so might give those two a try depending on how the story is. Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Musaigen no Phantom World, Schwarzesmarken and Prince of Stride are maybes. | ||

No, but that is entirely the point. Is it appropriate consider where she comes from in the world? Yes. The anime says she was from West Germany, a Democracy, a place that doesn't have a Secret Police that brutally tries to keep its people in like with "the Party" and is execution happy, and also a place that has been more removed from the conflict at that point than the East. Humanity fighting amongst each other in different factions and refusing cooperation in the face of extinction is dumb (especially looking at it from an outside/neutral perspective), and it would make sense to wish your divided country would banding together to fight a common foe, especially when your borders are the frontlines against said foe. Honestly its a lot of the same contrast of ideals and viewpoints as show during the Coup D'etat in MLA, with the Japanese and Americans. The only issue with Katia is that saying stuff like that when you are in an oppressive dictatorship probably isn't a good idea. I guess as an aside, lots of characterization has been cut from the source here, and there are people who claim that Katia is coming off as more of an imbecile than she should, due to cut content. | ||

Interesting. I have never read the source so I wouldn't know. The show is still interesting enough that I will keep watching! Hopefully, the sister-character improves! | ||

Followed by "Ranma-honey, the bandage has been off for a long time now" lol. Just what I've been wanting to see, more close moments incoming! :D Hopefully we'll see Akane reminisce on this next time she has a big fight with Ranma. Given, that episode where he was picking up girls was hilarious XD | ||

I'm actually fine with this and it seems like my guess on just LN1 being covered is correct if they're taking it this slow. I would have expected them to rush forwards otherwise. Either I got used to the animation or it looks not that bad in motion (in context). I'm fine with this tbh. It was missing out on properly delivering some of the jokes but meh, I'll expect this to get better as we go on. All in all better episode than I expected it to be. I can watch this.
