There's also the tsugumi wannabe . Aside from a couple of drunk episodes, nothing happened. And oh i think they introduced Yui but i'm not sure if i'm just mixing it up. | ||

I was right. Also watched Prince of Stride. Of all the things they could've done, they invent a fictional team sport based on parkour? It just strikes me as strange. It's not weird enough to be a novel concept like GuP, nor does it have the extensive knowledge base you get from real sports (half the fun of reading sports manga is having the mangaka drop relevant facts and concepts where appropriate). To me, it kinda feels like they're banking on parkour being cool enough to retain an audience. The animation was alright, but the action scene still felt oddly boring. The worst part was definitely how much they dramatized the relay. Typically, you're supposed to introduce the main characters of a sports series with something super special that nobody else could possibly do. A relay... isn't really that impressive. Come on, it's fucking parkour. Surely you can come up with something better than that. The main girl's shock at being able to be a Relationer was funny because of how stupid it was. A girl can talk over the radio? No way! So yeah. Probably gonna drop this. | ||
