Almost as pointless as rating individual episodes.

Rating of individual episodes can be useful for a writer or director I think. Gives them an idea of where their story dips and peaks which is something they most likely know anyway.

Started Kuuchuu Buranko and it's weird. Can't really say if the good, the bad or the weird kind of weird.

Been watching slayers, really nice to have some traditional fantasy. Lina is also great.

Started 2 anime today :
Active Raid : I think I'm dropping this. I saw "Police/Mech/Action" and thought I would get something interesting. Instead, I get some immature police officers.
Boku dake ga Inai Machi : One word "Wow!" I really enjoyed the first episode. Some sort of mystery/supernatural. Maybe the story will be about solving a case or multiple case + Show Spoiler +I'm a sucker for anything related to time travel. This anime also coincide with the Manga genre I am reading right now about MC going back into time or getting a second chance in life.
There are a few more anime I'd like to try, and some that I am certain I will watch (eg : Gate S2). I think Winter 2016 is going to be a good season.

Damn I wish I could watch anime raw, I don't want to wait 4 days for shitty Funimation subs for Dagashi Kashi

Same, I wish I would take the time to learn Japanese... I feel like by the amount of anime I've watched over the past years, I might have mastered some basics.

Watching episode 1 of Active Raid -
Based solely on the first two and a half minutes, I'm thinking this is an updated, mechanized fighting suit version of Dominion Tank Police.
And after the whole episode - I think the setup is somewhat similar, but it's not quite as funny yet. Maybe in the next episode. + Show Spoiler +Still, I find the interruption of the obligatory long winded expository backstory to be a plus.

Watched Shoujo-tachi. Not gonna lie, that was a pretty terrible first episode. Generic as hell. I don't like any of the characters thus far, which is always a great sign. Surely there must be more to it than this?
Boku dake ga inai did a pretty decent job of setting up the plot. Nailed the mood and everything. That said, the setup is the easiest part of a mystery - most stories tend to screw up the landing.
Haruchika was strange. + Show Spoiler +I can't tell if I'm supposed to take it seriously or not. They act like the message is incredibly heartwarming or something when it's written in fucking red paint. Uh...
I guess this is par for the course for PA Works though, considering Another's complete lack of self-awareness.
The actual mystery was contrived. I don't really know how they arrived at their conclusion. The guy was just like "yeah it's a substitution cipher with three rows" despite there being little evidence to support that. Real godlike intuition there. And finally, there's no stakes or risk in this particular mystery, so it's hard to get invested in it. I had the same problem with Hyouka.
The friend coming out at the end of the ep was unusual, but I get the feeling they won't use this for anything other than comedic moments. I can't see them doing anything similar to what Genshiken's pulled off.
The art kinda bothers me too, but that's pretty minor.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi felt legit, I liked it quite a bit. But.. + Show Spoiler +I'm not sure if I like that he's a little kid now, I actually liked that he was 29 yo, would've been something different. Given how his "revival" power seems to work, he only seems to be able to travel back in time.

Boku dake ga inai machi Good start, the mood was pretty good. The VA despite being a regular actor wasn't that bad in performance either.
Kouya Lots of setup but I enjoyed the episode a lot regardless with the antics. Kuroda reminds me of like Yukino and Kuroyukihime so that's cool. As long as the series composition guy copies romeo, I will believe that he has us in good hands. Excited to see more. I like how takahiro and minatosoft have a good amount of money to promote their stuff in different mediums.

Man whatever happened to a much more simpler time when Monogatari was about romance between Araragi and Senjou.

They needed that High School setting. Japanese love their highschool
Although, I felt her coworker was doing just fine in that department...
+ Show Spoiler +There was a camera shot on her when he left final before the time reversal. It seems he forgot something + 1 coworker looked strange

That's an elementary school though.
