Gundam Unicorn: Best animation I've seen in a show, both episodes so far have been sooo good. The only bad part about this show is the wait between releases, which in itself is just a testiment to how good the show is, fueling the anticipation between releases. Also the Kshatriya is IMO one of the best mecha designs ever. I just had to order the 1/144 model of it after watching episode 1 (and then got surprised when it turns out the 1/144 model of it is the same size as a 1/100 MG or HG gunpla lol) Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspectors: The show is really made for SRW, by SRW fans, and it doesn't disappoint. It has awesome Super Robot parts, awesome Real Robot parts, and so far has been a very good adaptation of SRW OG2 (although not entirely faithful lol Thrudgelmir ep1 etc). Easily the best show in the past couple seasons, and only half way done. It hasn't even gotten to the future best episode ever in Anime yet. Ichiban Ushiro no Daimou: Very funny show with plenty of moments of awesome. The plot is nonsensical and paced way too fast, but this is just one of those shows where you turn your brain off and enjoy it. Very funny, good action, and fan service. Disappearance of Haruhi: Very good movie. Presented the story very well, great animation, really nothing to complain about. And unlike other recent movies (I'm looking at you UBW), the plot didn't feel condensed or rushed or anything at all. Nanoha Movie 1st: This movie took me by surprise. I thought Nanoha was a decent series for a while, since it is basically a Mecha show disguised as a Magical Girl show, but this movie was great. It took the weakest season of the anime, and made it into a movie that was the best Nanoha production to date. The battles in this movie were incredible. If they make another one of these for A's (which was the best of the 3 seasons), then the bar has certainly been raised very high for it. Fullmetal Alchemist: I guess only half of this was 2010, but thats good enough for me. One of the best shounen shows out there. Much better than the previous FMA anime, with the 'LOL GERMANS BOMBING ENGLAND WITH ZEPPLINS IN WWI, ALCHEMY COMES FROM DEAD PEOPLE IN OUR WORLD' ending it had. It didn't really suffer from the problems most shounen animes normally have, in terms of filler (although, I'm sure there had to be filler in it, it wasn't really noticable to me beyond a recap episodes and stuff). Honorable mentions go to Break Blade, High School of the Dead, MM!, and Star Driver.

Hopefully it doesn't turn into every other anime where they make the coolest action scenes in history but only for the introductory episode. For example, compare the first fight in Soul Eater to any other fight in that entire series. Goes from beautiful animation and slick choreography to melodramatic conversations and power up moves. Maybe it's a budget thing.

5. OreImo This show started out great, and reminded me a lot of my real life. But ultimately, I thought Kirino's bitchiness ruined it for me. The side characters really made it fun to watch though (especially Kuroneko) 4. TWGOK It has a badass male lead, a dense and adorable female lead, and arcs with cute and interesting girls. The show got me to read the manga, and I'm impressed with how well the show follows the manga. 3. Gundam Unicorn Pretty much what Sentenal said. Also, where did you get that figurine from? I want one! 2. Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya I haven't read the book, but I thought the show was great, and the movie was even better, IMO. 1. Shinryaku! Ika Musume It seems like I'm the only one who loved this show so much. Probably for my love of lolis. But Ika Musume is just too cute, and with all the side characters added in this series is just one massive lulz moment after another. It's also pretty original and refreshing, and has a damn catchy OP. Also, I felt like a weeaboo today. Since I've been watching a lot of anime lately and have barely heard any spoken English, I bumped into some lady and said excuse me in Japanese. I was so embarrassed. >.<

Compared to the first it was kind of slow, and the action was impressively dull (just a bunch of long range firing and dodging). Oh and I'm sorry but Char looks incredibly dumb, like he always has. Maybe it's a budget thing. I'm ignoring this post because of what you are saying about the best ficional villain ever in anime/calling Unicorn's battles "impressively dull". @Ferrose: I got it from http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/. Generally, I try to order all of my models from this place if I can, its very reliabe/best prices/very good selection. Its actually a Gunpla (Gundam Plastic Model) and not a figurine. Its the kind that you actually assemble yourself. I have a decently sized collection of Gunpla and other kits from shows like Macross, Code Geass, and Super Robot Wars, so I can try and answer any questions you might have about them. This is where I ordered it from, but its sold out right now. Its a HG (High Grade) model, but considering its size and detail, it is fairly close to MG (Master Grade) anyway. From a quick check on Amazon, its in stock there as well for pretty much the same price. I can take a picture of my model later if you want an idea about how big Gunpla normally are. If you are just looking for Unicorn Gunpla in general, 1/144 HG Unicorn Gundam models seem to be fairly cheap ($20~ which is pretty good for 1/144 models), but the 1/100 MG Unicorns are very expensive ($80, which is too much for me to spend myself). I gotta finish LoGH first, and this show is so fucking good. LoGH 92 Spoilers: + Show Spoiler + Lutz no! I never expected to care or like Lutz when he was first introduced and got defeated by Yang, but man, this show really draws you in to care about these characters. I need to finish this show so I can go ahead and give it a 10 (which is something extremely rare for me to do).

Edit: How easy was it to build? I always sucked with Legos and things like this as a kid.

I always sucked with Legos and things like this as a kid. Kshatriya 1/144 HG for $48~ Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode 1/144 HG: Amazon: $24~ Gundam Store and More $20~ Unicorn Gundam Normal mode 1/144 HG: Amazon: $19~ Gundam Store and More $16~ Note that if you got the Master Grade version of the Unicorn Gundam (which is like $80 lol) it would be both larger and have the ability to go between Destroy and Normal mode. The 1/144 is the "smaller" size for Models (unless its the Kyshatriya which is huge for a 1/144). This will give you an idea about the sizes of these models, although I don't have one recent enough to have my Kshatriya in it. The flash from the camera makes it harder to see the details in from these kits, so they do look better than they do in this pic. From left to right, thats my 1/144 Fairlion-S, 1/100 MG Freedom Gundam, 1/144 HG Gundam RX-78-2 30th Anniversary (with Gundam hammer lol), 1/144 HG Akatsuki Gundam, 1/144 Tieren Ground Type, and 1/100 No-grade Strike Freedom (which btw is a piece of shit, never by no-grade gunpla). My Kshatriya is roughly the same size as my Freedom Gundam, although without a stand, and of course alot bulkier. Those 2 1/144 Unicorns would be roughly the same size as my Fairlion/RX-78-2/Tieren. I don't know if Unicorn would come with a stand or not. HGs normally don't come with them, but sometimes they do (my Exia Avalanche model did, plus my Fairlion and Gurren Mk2 did). About ease of building, they aren't too hard. You have like several different sheets of parts, you remove them, and snap them together. It comes with picture directions. Its in Japanese, but the parts are labeled in english (like A12 or B2 for example), and since it has step by step diagrams, its easy enough to follow. HG models would be a good place to start out, since MG models have alot more to them.

It certainly seems that way, based on what has been shown so far. He looks just like him, pilots a red mobile suit, is an ace pilot, lots of charisma, leads the Neo-Zeon movement, etc. Its almost too much for him to just be someone pretending. Gundam Unicorn is set just 3 year after Char's Counter Attack, so its not like there is an apparent age gap either. Here is a spoiler answer: + Show Spoiler + To my knowledge, Full Frontal is a genetical altered Cyber-Newtype who was programmed with Char's memories and personality artificially. So of all the "Char Clones" who exist in all the various Gundam shows, he is pretty much the only one who is essentially a clone of Char. But the actual Char is dead.

Well, I started LoGH. My first thought: "OH GOD THIS LOOKS TERRIBLE" But I can get past the quality. Because everything else was extremely awesome. But how come everyone in the Empire is German? It makes no sense to me.

Thanks everyone who's been posting top picks of the year and such. I didn't really keep up with anime that much in 2010, but it looks like there are many worth catching up on.

Surprised me quite a lot. Thought it would take a while to start. And EchOne, if you survive the very slow start, then you'll probably enjoy it just as much as I did ![]()
