If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

So I was over at a friend's house and we ended up watching Redline. Actually, I already suggested it to her a long time ago but we never got around to watch it and now we finally did.

+ Show Spoiler +
Man that was crazy. My mouth still waters from those animations. All those beautifully handcrafted explosions, facial expressions, limb movements, oh god. Doesn't really matter that the story made zero fucking sense, the whole crazyness and random events made it entertaining and totally worth watching.

About the setting: I think the movie did quite well to make the setting interesting without really talking about it. The designs of the races/people, devices, cars etc. added all the flair needed.

The ending was also goddamn hilarious. Having the race end on a win for JP because his hair kept being straight while flying at approximately 500 km/h... I want to know what kind of hairspray he uses. Then they kept flying through the air while kissing and it all ended in an ending screen saying "love". We sat there for quite a while and couldn't stop laughing. Who the fuck would come up with such an ending screen? xD

Anyways, I'm glad that I finally watched it and experienced the 7 years worth of talented animators doing work.

Really? MAL doesn't list him. It also looks like shit from the synopsis. Are we talking about the same thing?^^

Redline is fucking amazing yeah, there's some subtle sub-plots here and there but overall the story really doesn't matter compared to just how much of a visual and audial experience it is.

That soundtrack, untz untz untz
From the Ghastly Eyrie I can see to the ends of the world, and from this vantage point I declare with utter certainty that this one is in the bag!

Yes, we are talking about the same show and the mal page does list romeo

You could read the staff page on the vndb then cross it with mal here.

And silly kaze, rewrite probably won't be here till summer.

7 years and over 100,000 hand drawn frames of animation. Redline is a great experience.

Girl: I've been possessed by those feelings ever since probably that day.

Yeah it'll probably be bad, but Ice made it sound like Kouya was the only Tanaka work I was referring to.

Not sure why an anime not being next season would mean it's not part of the Tanaka anime train, since the entire point is that the train continues beyond one season.

I think rewrite will turn out fine as long as it has a minimum of 3 cours.

Actually, I misinterpreted your first statement since you said pray for a Tanaka train so I thought you were thinking like pray as in "hopefully they will make it a thing" sort of thing like FMP.

Also Jintai is done, I don't think they will adapt the remaining like.... 2-4 lns.

to be fair, Grisaia no Meikyu and Rakuen are pretty damn short. They're probably half or 1/3 the length of Kajitsu.

I'm gonna believe it until I see it ruined in front of my eyes. Not like the show sucking will stop me from watching it when it'll still probably be better than many other things airing in that season.

Got a package tonight and thought it was the shoes I ordered..

Opened the box and out came a gunpla.

Thanks to my Secret Santa (kupon, who is no longer with us).

I've never built nor owned a gunpla before so this should be interesting. ;d
