It's still not up to madhouse if there is a second season, it's entirely a decision made by the licenseholders. Which is why some madhouse shows do get second seasons(chihayafuru, kaiji) because the licenseholders decided to push it into production. It's also why some anime change studios between seasons, because the studio don't have the licenses (except for a few exceptions like kyoani who recently afaik bought the license for hibike euphonium) Although i'll agree that there is a lot of anime made by madhouse that i doubt will ever get a second season, but the same is true of other studios. | ||
