Heroic Age, holy + Show Spoiler +shit lol. Damn, Age is something. Deflects a battleship shot, deflects any Nodos' attacks and fights for over 200 hours straight haha >.> Well, seeing as he'll never lose or be captured by the enemy considering his power, I guess I can rest easy

So I need help with Ghost in the shell chronology...
I go with the movie first and then with SAC I suppose and maybe something else afterwards But the question is if u watch the movie and then plan to watch the series so you'll be watching the movie with some extra scenes but the same plot or completely different story? Decided to give it a shot since I havent watched it yet
Slowly finishing Seirei no miribito - nothing special for me :C

Ghost in the shell has 3 separate entities all basing itself from the same source so here's how it goes.
Ghost in the Shell -> Innocence
GitS:SAC -> GitS:SAC2 -> Solid State Society
GitS:Arise -> Arise Movie
None of the three are connected outside of using the same source as their basis(none tell the same story,merely have same characters and setting). So you don't have to watch the first movie to watch SAC or Arise and you don't have to watch SAC to watch anything else. Typically people say watch the movie first since it's really good on it's own and the initial piece of media that blew up GitS. SAC is arguably better(imo) but again it's not linked to the movie at all. Arise is the weakest show so far and the most skippable if you become a GitS fan. I hear the movie isn't too bad but we'll see.

This sums it up pretty nicely. I would also recommend to watch the first movie first. It's great and generally acknowledged in the western world as well (as in the average people that watch movies but not anime know of this movie). I would also definitely recommend you to watch the original version from 1995. Beautiful handdrawn backrounds and animation. The remake replaces a lot of that with CGI, can't comprehend how that should be more appealing but apparently it is to a lot of people. I personally thought the second movie "Innocence" was rather mediocre compared to the first movie. It's still watchable but you won't miss much skipping it imho. SAC was great and both seasons are rare gems you only get to see from time to time. SSS was solid as well.
Haven't seen Arise yet. I pretty much have been shying away from doing so in the past because of the horrendous reactions to it. I'm still planning to watch it someday but not in the near future.

Watch the original movie for Ghost In the Shell. Then watch the "updated" version. Everything else is optional. (The BD is lovely.)

Arise was a letdown though, sure its a green Kusanagi but it didnt really set. SAC and SSS are great although some of the filler in the second season of SAC I could live without.
And ofc the first movie, my first accidental exposure to a womens tits, or was it the first streetfighter movie, anyway none of the video tapes my cousin bought back then were censored cozz pirated.

He'll likely be going up against 2-3 Nodos next episode which sounds ridiculous from a number and destruction perspective.

Lots of cool stuff happening with the plot, but Bellcross gets to be even more OP than he had been previously.

The ones above feels to be more expensive than proxy sites, but shipping differs a lot depending on location. Never bought from Amazon before so can't really comment.

only fig I ever ordered from JP. About 100$, still not here. Original shipping date was supposed to be Oktober iirc (I think that's when it goes out, not when it arrives), got delayed and the ship probably capsized because of a tsunami or some crap like that orz
But with the pre-order and everything, considering that I ordered at least a good 6 months ago the 1-3 months more won't really make that big of a difference. If only I would get the Euro <-> USD or Euro <-> Yen course from 6-9 months ago when I placed my order
|
Preorder 6-12 month in advance is pretty normal, and expect some delay to release just how those goes. 1/8 or 1/7 PVC is around 80-150 depending on quality, though if it has extra accessory it can go above that. I generally buy 1 per year so tends to be top end.
Has this one on preorder ATM, only 7(min) months to go! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10354827
