I don't know if I'd call SAO fake harem. MC barely gives a fuck about his wife and goes around playing with other girls that all want his dick so bad they almost dry humping him while his wife is next to them. That's exactly what a fake harem is.
Asuna starts out as a girl but the author forgets that he needs to write more than one-liner for her midway. Or wait, now I get it. The whole kidnapping thing changed Asuna psychological. Poor girl and what a genius writer relying on the intelligence of the viewer to figure things out instead of throwing it into our faces. Man, I'm going to bump up my rating for SAO now that I figured this out.

Im not sure thats a fake harem, thats still just a harem. Not sure what fake harem is supposed to mean. Unless that means harem with MC commited to main girl, in which case sure.
I dont see much of a difference between Rakudai and Asterisk. One has a brocon loli the other has a osananajimi loli, one has overly sexualized conniving kaichou, the other added the bang over one eye vulnerable shy chick etc etc...
The only major difference is interactions with main girl

They battle harems. They all follow the same formula and merely differentiate themselves by the small adjustments in setting as well as character interactions. Also the lewdness variable and how lewd is presented changes but the latter typically is the same for stories in similar lewd bands.

Nisekoi is a harem man wtf. It's like the quintessential harem of harems. Ticks off almost every single harem trope it can.
Monogatari is more "fake harem" because even though it's a singular(mostly) with large female cast where some of them are romantically interested it has settled the romantic aspect of a harem at the start of the show. Nisio kind of gets around this by making Araragi have this inbuilt desire to want to save girls so even though he's in a relationship with Hitagi he'll still go around helping these girls because that's just who he is. However after all the saving is done he'll come home to Hitagi's scantily clad cooking then make sweet love to her all night long.
Hmmm maybe it is about Betaness. Harems need to meet 1 of 2 criteria to work.
1) MC doesn't sleep with any of the girls
2) Girls are fine with MC sleeping with other girls
First one I guess you could say it doesn't hold true as long as they don't find out but sleeping with 5+ girls with none of the finding out while they all throwing themselves at MC seems suspect.
So yea you need a beta MC to make sure (1) doesn't happen since any male with any kind of social skills would just be fucking at least one of those girls with the way they go after MCs dick in harem shows. Then again in the Monogatari example it was all the alphaness of the girl that sealed the deal.
DxD is also interesting as the MC does want to sleep with all the girls and they want to sleep with him while not minding if others get in on there(mostly).
