Honestly, I'd be fine with Uta if the character developement happened alongside with plot development, but it's like Nezgar wrote: The characters just bump into each other and do stupid shit.
I'll probably watch it again once stuff starts happening, though not weekly anymore. Probably once it's all done (if people even recommend it at that point).
On another note, I'm still enjoying Cavalry, Perfect Insider, Noragami and Asterisk and the next OPM episode is gonna be great too hopefully. Even Heavy Object is sort of enjoyable IMO.

This season is weird. I'm dropping stuff left and right but still have enough decent stuff to watch. And by enough I mean a handful of shows compared to the shitload of shows I watched last season for example. I don't feel like keeping mediocre things this time around. Mid season it looks like this for me: Watch OPM, Osomatsu-san, Sakurako-san, Cavalry (with a friend), Tantei Team (lel), Ushio to Tora from last season and Noragami, although I haven't seen another episode since ep3 and might drop it. A friend told me that it's getting good at ep5 and onwards though. I have Perfect Insider on hold until it's finished.
On another note, Osomatsu-san ep6 was glorious. So much random non-sense. :D Best episode since ep1.

That is why Araragi was so burnt up and used that OP sword on the Tiger. I still can't figure out if this is before or after Mayoi "leaves". That is also why Kanbaru mentioned Hanekawa but all these time skips are messing me up.
+ Show Spoiler [Owarimonogatari] +Those events occur roughly at the same time. As you may remember, Hanekawa spent a night at the cram school, which is why the 3rd floor (mentioned in this episode) has that "bed of desks". We were also told during season 2 that the cram school burned down after she spent the night there, which is exactly what happened in this episode. This is after the "Shinobu Time" arc, in which Mayoi leaves. Araragi meeting with Kanbaru in order to set up a meeting between her and Gaen was part of the payment for resolving the issue with Mayoi. I hope that answers your question.

Oh yeah I forgot some. I'm also watching Osomatsu, which has some so-so and some great episodes. Sakurako is mostly good as well. As for shorts I'm watching Tantei Team and Onsen Yousei, both are watchable but yeah, nothing to speak of.
Ushio to Tora is still good, but I'd count to to the last season since it's a continuation. Well, as for continuations, I dropped World Trigger last week, since the new filler stuff is rather bad imo. Gonna wait for manga story to continue in the anime, even if that probably isn't gonna happen soon.

Finally finished up Legend of the Galactic Heroes by watching the final episode today. What a ride. Thoughts:
+ Show Spoiler +Ep110: The irony that Reinhard died on Mittermeyer after ordering him to not die... I'm glad that they wiped out Terraism in the end even though I thought it was a bit unrealistic. Oberstein's death was really fitting imho.
General: In the beginning I had never thought that I would end up liking this series so much. Honestly, most of s1 was really boring to me. Too much slice of life activities, festivals, backround story etc. The were a few compelling episodes in between but the first time the show really took up for me was in the finale of s1. Since then it became more and more enjoyable for me and never dropped again. There might have been single episodes that weren't that enjoyable, like the one episode I mentioned about the heirs of the goldenbaum dynasty, but those were exceptions. I think this show was carried by the characters and the conversations. Listening to Yang's philosphic rants, discussions between Reuental and Mittermeyer, meetings of the imperial generals, smack talking of guys like Poplan, Schenkopp etc... I just couldn't get enough and enjoyed it so much. It was also great to see all of the characters grow so much, seeing their joy and their sadness and all the experiences they had. Seeing a lot of them die...ugh. Sure Yang's death was probably the most sad thing in the show and the distinct feel of loss did hold on for a long time. But when characters like Reuental, Schenkopp, Reinhard etc. died I always had a big lump in my throat. I think a big factor why I didn't enjoy the show so much in the beginning and had a continuously increasing enjoyment throughout the show was that the characters grew on me over time. I expect that I would, on a rewatch, enjoy the beginning much more now than I did back then.
In the end I'm going to give this one of my rare 10/10s. This is also the only show next to HxH where I would give out a straight 10/10 for the characters. Such an amazing show, I'm so glad that I kept watching and didn't drop it in the beginning. Time to update my favourite character chart on MAL.

It is a 25 ep season though so yea not going to flip out about it. What's the difference between a 12 ep show and a 25 ep show if the 25 ep show spends half of its episodes on fanservice fillers? Right, nothing except it's a giant waste of time. You could watch the same thing within half the time. 25 episodes have the benefit of having more time to develop story and characters better. If they don't do it, what's the point? Of course, before anyone mentions it, I'm only talking about shows that are aiming for a continuous plot and not about episodic shows. There's nothing wrong with spending time with the characters instead of rushing head long into a plot because you need to finish it in 10 eps. Fanservice with girls that have lewd thoughts sound amazing. They all cat girls as well right? I need to watch this shit. ? I even wrote that they could spend time on developing the characters. But they aren't even doing that. Except that everyone is falling for good-for-nothing MC. That's not what I would call character development. All they are doing now is wasting time and then have to rush the plot to get it done in the remaining episodes. And yeah, you can make a show that only has lewd fanservice. But they should tag it as hentai then. I won't have a problem then because I won't expect any remotely good character or story writing. And yeah Numy, you would probably enjoy this (the fanservice that is). I mentioned this after the first 1 or 2 episodes.
There is a very good reason why everyone is falling for MC, though it's hinted it's prob impossible for people without playing the original game to get.
The problem with uta2 is that it's literally a 24 ep ad for the game and its sequel. The goal is not for you to be satisfied with the anime and be done with it, so it can't spoil the game AND it can't go original route. It's like a DnD campaign without any game play elements, which is pretty weird to say the least.

What arc was Koyomi Flower?
|
All the arcs starting with Koyomi are shortstories from 3rd season book Koyomimonogatari. They have not yet been adapted. I'd assume they're going to start "randomly" adapting them as OVAs after finishing the first 2 books of Owarimonogatari?
Also the bottom left part, as well as Suruga Court and so on are "guidebooks" to the series (tsukihi eternal etc). Never really found them online so no idea how short they are or what they're about but also not adapted.

I don't think Sent will enjoy SSY, it is definitely an interesting show though. The core story part is 100% sci fi, but you wouldn't realize it when you first started for sure (unless you spoil yourself beforehand), and the core story is full of tropes so that's that, it is unique in the sense that it used the traditional/old Japanese style world setting at the surface. Boy did I spoil too much now. It is technically more like a detective/mysterious drama when shit turned bad.
Somehow this reminds me of 7samurai anime version, which is technically mech did you watch that sent haha

Nah, the real problem is that the company decided to split uta2 into two games rather than just releasing one completed game

10 years is too short of a time to release a full game. Just ask Blizzard.

To be fair blizzard did make 2/3 games in that period, they were just all bad then they released the least bad which was still bad. That's some dedication.

+ Show Spoiler +Couldn't care less for Licenseless Rider but the episode will have Saitama cutting the standard villain shit talk before the fight. That was awesome!
Also started watching Area 88. Ep1 was ok. Decent build up and story flow, action is ok even if I don't like military stuff, music is awesome so far. On the other hand it has some pretty stupid stuff on here as well. + Show Spoiler +Shooting explosives to loosen them from an aeroplane. Really now? xD Or that bird that shattered the front panel of a combat jet. Even better was that the jet then crashed into the sea where it exploded. Evil gull of hell. Probably carried explosives as well.

the one punch man OST is gonna be so great
shame the show is only 12 eps long

Does Uta1 start as slow? I put Uta2 on hold and was thinking of checking out Uta1 first instead.
