Amazing. + Show Spoiler + Honestly though, what the fuck? Did the follow-up page somehow justify this or what? On July 11 2015 22:47 Maxie wrote: God eater ep 1 when? Kekkai Sensen last ep when? God Eater tomorrow evening (GMT). Kekkai Sensen: I'm asking the same question.

Even goody doesn't think hime-sama can save aldnoah T.T On July 11 2015 14:24 Sufficiency wrote: + Show Spoiler + Inko: my general expectation for Inko was that she was going to die in the show. Not only did she raise death flags at least on a couple of occasions, I really failed to see the purpose of her existence in the story beyond the possibility of killing her to possibly illustrate a more human side of Inaho. Maybe I was just trying to extrapolate what happened in Code Geass / Guilty Crown and stick it into A/Z, but that was my impression about Inko: her existence was pretty much pointless (she had too little meaningful interaction with Inaho or the other characters) and yet she got too much air time for a supporting cast. Mazuurek: my impression here is that Mazuurek and Klancain could have been the same character. I'll say it right here: the fact that the princess and Klancain were going to get married was extremely difficult to swallow. Not only is Klancain an unknown character who was introduced in like episode 19, Mazuurek seems clearly superior in terms of interests, idealogy, and loyalty. Now, you are right that Mazuurek played a crucial role in awakening the princess, but that kind of plot development does not require spending almost an entire episode introducing Mazuurek. Anyone could have delivered that locket; or the locket simply wouldn't be required at all and Asseylum could have waken up herself. Also, remember Mazuurek was explicitly told by Inaho to do the following: 1. Protect the princess 2. Find out what Slaine was trying to do. Mazuurek basically failed at both. He didn't protect the princess (that task went to Klancain) nor did he manage to stop Slaine (again that went to Klancain). It's a really awkward outcome and really makes me question why Klancain and Mazuurek are different characters. Lemrina: my issue with Lemrina goes back to Aldnoah. She repeatedly said in the show that she believed her existence was only due to her activation factor - but her inner conflict could have been resolved by the fact that Inaho could also activate the Aldnoah Drive. But this was never spelled out in the show and it's not even clear if she knew about Inaho - it's an extremely unsatisfactory ending for her that left me with nothing but a bitter after taste. Either keep her in the show and spend more time on her, or just remove her from the show. There was really no real need to have a pretender. + Show Spoiler + Honestly, I read your points but in the end, I felt you were making the same point: I felt this is what they were going for or this is what they should've went for etc... not saying that some of them aren't legit points but the show had closures. To many on here, the show degraded in season 2 and all the characters you mentioned played their planned role well. I think you're just looking for too much from the show tbh which is why you are trying to go into depth when some parts of the show is pretty shallow. Inko's purpose was just to exist as a close friend to Inaho, that's all. Yes, Klaincain's marriage to hime-sama was a bit out of the blue but at the same time, that meant that Slaine was replaced as her husband which is something that I'm sure she wanted to do (remember, he married Lemrina, not her). Mazuurek still managed to find the princess and help her regain her memory. Inaho wasn't even sure if she was alive, he just knew that it was Lemrina impersonating her so first and foremost, he wanted Mazuurek to find her which he did and give her the necklace which he did. Yes, he didn't "protect" the princess but he pledged loyalty to her which was more than some other knights were doing (who wanted to invade earth). I don't even remember where Mazuurek was when they were trying to kill her so can't comment there. As for Lemrina, they could've probably closed her chapter a bit better but she got along with her sister there and felt wanted for a while. It's the best she could've hoped for at that time. Brings me back to my original point: all of these character fulfilled the role that the creator had in mind.

I just don't get how it really works when it comes to other people/objects. I get the whole sword god thing as coming from myth but people that are born outside of 2nd Gear obviously don't have those names yet still have "power" in the concept based on their names? Idk it feels like a kind of weird concept. Either I'm confused or it's inconsistent. You shouldn't be able to make a pen into a knife as they talk about fundamental names of things.

The concept of 2nd gear is that "name grants power", so anything under the influence of the second gear would get power from the name, no matter where it's from or who gave the name. Basically it doesn't matter what anything actually is, only matters what it is called

Ok but then surely you can't change the name or something as another person will still call it by it's actual name? Would the object then be a knife in your hands but in someone else's hand it would be a pen?

But then suddenly, it turned into shit. RIP Aldnoah, you started strong and turned out to be dumb. Good OST, good visual, poor story/story telling
