Don't really care about Dragonball. Didn't even know there was a new one coming.

The whole igloo being destroyed, that was Maria's doing when she relocated with Mamarou but after that, did that other queerat convince them to stay at their place then when Maria gave birth, her cantus was at its weakest and Mamarou didn't have much in him so they easily overwhelmed them? Did they find them after they gave birth and that's when they attacked them both and took their child? Then you have the letter, it's definitely written by Maria but then, you can probably even try and wonder if it's a legit letter (seems to be to me) or if the queerats purposely wrote it (unlikely).
I could go on and on because as we saw, that child was what changed the whole war. True, the strategic and guerilla type warfare helped them greatly especially against the unprepared humans but beating the hornets in perfect fashion, killing a ton of people including Shirsei who was the strongest cantus user etc... accounted for a ton of fear that rendered humans helpless. Btw, guys, since I've seen this mentioned here, the child is not a fiend! Fiends would attack any and everything living, however, she was only targeting humans because she was raised to believe that she is a queerat from day one and had a death feedback if she killed one of them which is how they killed her in the end.
On the whole DNA topic, I gotta agree with whoever said that its good confirmation when you consider they also looked at dental records. I don't see why they can't do it especially given that Maria and Mamarou run away at the age of 14 then Tomoko said that when they would've been 26 (someone gave their child an age of 10 years so they would've been 17 at the time). There was more than enough to check the DNA and no time constraints with that timeline. Even if the age/gender bit was faked, there was still other evidence to back up the idea that it was them. I only thought that maybe she was lying because she wanted to avoid Saki getting disciplined or even gotten rid of, however, thinking back on it and the situation they were in, we know that Tomoko has always spoke of doing what's good for society.
I don't blame society for getting so mad at Squealer that they opted for the eternal hell punishment. My god, the pain must've been unimaginable. Likewise, I don't blame them for laughing at him when he said that he was human. Ignorance is bliss. What really pisses me off though is that it felt like their society completely closed itself off to previous human actions as in it didn't seem like they tried to teach their students any information about history but everything seemed to focus on doing what's best for society (fiend on bridge, cut rope or if karma demon, walk into a lake to die; makes sense why they did it though). I don't forsee any quick changes happening, at least, not until the people realize that queerats have a link to humans. It is really sad overall though. PK users suppress non-PK users by turning them into beasts so that they can easily use their cantus against them while maintaining their own rules of society. Makes me wonder just how many from the higher ups of society actually know about queerats have human origins. ^ This has my thoughts to all you guys who were discussed these points on the previous page.
+ Show Spoiler +i just remembered a part that didnt seem to get used anywhere, remember we are told that some of the queerrats use a drug before battle which gives them unquestionied loyalty and maybe rage also. i dont really remember where that fact was used, maybe it was mentioned because it was used on the fiend.
whatever happened, it wasnt pretty. you can assume they waited until the child was newly born then cut the parents throats in their sleep and watch as they gurgle and twitch as they soffocate to death looking in each other wide eyes. then they feed the baby that drug every day and raise it to be hateful, tormented but loyal to the tribe
remember from the start of the anime "just how bad" things had become though? how the last emperor would slaughter his own people for sport. just how different are some of us from that today? there are massacres and genocides happening over the globe all the time. just type "current wars" into google and see where that leads you. we ourselves bury our heads in the sand almost as much as saki's people

It's in the summer pic, apparently starting 5th July. I loved DB and DBZ as a kid so there's no way I won't give it a try. Only thing I never watched is DBGT but I hear that was shit anyway.
It could be bad or good, we will see. But at least it's a story from the original creator so it MIGHT be somewhat decent.

Dragonball was kinda cool as a kid but I highly doubt I will enjoy it now.

when the blurb is "goku has to get a job and these other guys are looking for a wedding present" no, it doesnt sound exciting

Never watched a single episode of DB in my life, currently no interest in doing so either.

Dragonball hasn't been good for decades. Why they won't just leave it to rest is beyond me. The movies they release now are terrible, GT was terrible, its all devolved into a mess of shit. No reason to trust a new tv series at all. I'd rather pretend DBZ ended after Namek, or even the Cell Games.

The original DB is actually pretty funny.

Original DB was top tier shounen, it's probably the parts of DB i enjoyed the most overall.

DB was great, dbz wasn't too bad though the fights were a bit too long and the buu sage (mostly past Goku going SS3) was too much.

Makes me wonder just how many from the higher ups of society actually know about queerats have human origins. + Show Spoiler +I assume none of them know. A lot of the show was about people perpetuating laws/ideas solely because that is what is done instead of knowing why. They don't think for themselves which is partly why Saki's group was created. The old lady saw that the way things were done now wasn't good enough but couldn't change anything herself so she/they tried to get a group of individuals that thought for themselves. Everyone else in their society has a deep rooted fear of knowledge and change. They intentionally kill off or reeducate anyone that starts to be an "individual" as to breed this idealogy. I can't recall if they even know why the ring is set up in the village or how it influences the outside world? + Show Spoiler +What no that letter was def from Maria, it came way before the Queerats turned on her. It even had intimate details about her personal life. Unless you saying that he got all the info from her then forged a letter? Sees far more likely is that he encouraged her to write it while he was being kind to her to make sure she let down her guard then killed her after birth. + Show Spoiler +good point, I figured that was the case as well. Only person I would've pegged to have some idea might be Tomoko due to her age but that also depends on when their society was founded. With further thought, I doubt she knows and likely just follows the rules like everyone else. Sad to think about it though. Did none of them wonder why they can't test the DNA of a queerat? Not even for a second? Why some rules are as they are? I realize that's one of the lessons of the anime, question things more. Letter was definitely from Maria. She had a lot of details in it and I doubt Squealer was able to forge it. They likely just convinced her to write out, maybe as closure and its because she's her best friend/lover then killed her once she had the child. The letter's other purpose is to try and discourage Saki and Satoru from looking for as well. Worst part was that I was hoping they would meet up at random later on. Hopes dashed

+ Show Spoiler [Shokugeki 13] +I like the trend in Shokugeki where they make new character appearances super intimidating, then humanize them right after. They even played at that trope with the shiro chick. God shes fucking hot, extremely fuckable.
Erina being tsun is hot too, plus she also mentioned something about it being bad for her heart when shes near Souma, what?????
And the meat chick is awesome too cause she made a loco moco, a hawaiian dish. Something that I can only eat once in a blue moon cause its literally like 5k calories in one bowl.
