Honestly when I started watching it my initial thought was it's pretty slow but now I'm at ep 7 and I thought "Dam this is something Testie would dig". It's got that same sort of feel as Seirei no Moribito where it's a slow journey of self growth in a fantastical fantasy land. No badass action sequences so far though. The fact that it doesn't rush thought the beginning really gives you time to get to know the characters and look deeper into the world they live in.

Even if there was such a plan in the beginning (and that does seem likely tbh), the author has to change it at this point because Hayamin.
