What has the loli with the little pet dragon done after her arc? You can stuff cute girls into anime and ACTUALLY give them a reason to be in there but it's just not like that. They have their arc, get rescued, fall in love with him and are there to be his harem and nothing else. Hell it would be fine if they'd just make someone join the "harem" without falling in love with Jesus. Once that happens once or twice I'll stop calling it harem. By the looks of it the little kid that was after imouto is probably dead just that the author never mentioned it... I can't even remember anyone else that is male and not dead except for the red haired comedy character. Oh right, the government agent. He probably had like 3 minutes of screentime but even in that case the nurse going after Kirito was probably a bigger thing. Because the authors wants to stuff a lot of girls into the work as possible because they know their demographics. So he killed 2 birds with one stone by showing his MC doing cool shit and rescuing girls and getting them to join. Notice how no one gives a fuck about relationships outside of literally 1 or 2 throw a ways scenes with the blacksmith and loli where they look enviously at the main couple for less than 2 mins. Its not a harem when its barely noticeable outside and only known from very tiny moments in the grand scheme of the show where its almost tacked on like "oh yea this person also likes the mc I guess". Its complete white noise background shit. Its not a harem when its like a token tack on that is never, ever a focus or priority. and that's exactly why I said I'll stop calling it a harem if they stop introducing new girls that fall in love with him / want his dick. If the author wants to portray him as jesus saving lifes while stuffing lots of girls in it for eyecandy that's fine. Doesn't mean everything with a double X chromosome has to fall in love with him on sight. Alice, the new girl in alicization, is kirito's osananajimi but she doesn't like him. There you go. Yuuki from mother's Rosario also doesn't like kirito the first one idk, I'll just assume she's a tsundere for now until Season3 shows her the second one didn't really have him interact with her at all. Asuna was the MC for that arc

And Mother's Rosario wasn't about Kirito. Asuna got the expiring harem-member in that one.
I never said they didn't, I said its regulated to basically fun facts about the character because its hardly brought up or directly acknowledged after its been made obvious.

Wikipedia: Harem is a kind of story in Japanese anime and manga where a male character is surrounded by many female characters. Suzuka, Love Hina, Ai Yori Aoshi, Rosario + Vampire and Sekirei are just a few examples.[source?] Most of the time the females are romantically interested in the main character. The term "harem" is generally not used by itself, but as an adjective to the genre—such as harem anime or harem manga. The term comes from the Turkish use of the word "harem" meaning "a group of women associated with one man".
Harem, hāremumono (ハーレムもの?) (from harem), broadly, is an ambiguously-defined subgenre of anime and manga characterized by a protagonist surrounded, usually amorously, by three or more members of the opposing sex and/or love interests.[1] The most common and practically tantamount scenario is a male-oriented harem series where the main male character is surrounded by a group of females; when it is a female-oriented harem series, it is informally referred to as a reverse harem, or gyakuhāremu (逆ハーレム?).[citation needed] Examples of harem anime and manga include:
http://tvtropes.org/ Harem is a genre/plot frame that is mostly present in the Japanese media of Anime, Manga, Light Novels, Visual Novels, and Video Games. It normally takes place in a High School setting, with one male lead, and at least three, often a lot more, girls who are romantically interested in him, or at the very least are bound by circumstances to live with him. Gender Inverted Examples also exist. Usually, each girl personifies a single classic characterization archetype.
It's just "lots of girls together with MC-Kun"

I called it a fake-harem that's just not willing to straight up call itself a harem because it has other elements to it o/

Neo, it wouldn't be TLADT if we argued over sensible things. :D

Things can still be a harem, even if the harem element is light, just as things can be mecha even if the anime only has a toaster in it.

that would have to be a very cool toaster but yeah

I think its an important distinction between harem anime and anime with a harem element. In the same vein I am not about to call Rolling Girls a mecha anime just because it had a giant, human piloted, fighting robot in its last 2 episodes.
