Can I assume you watched Saekano last season? 2nd image it is too low res to stand out enough to care about but the floating effect isn't great (but you can barely see her feet moving anyway so to me she wud just be flying/floating anyway) | ||

Most 3DCG in anime just stands out and looks off/wrong in an otherwise 2D environment, or rather, that's what a lot of people think. You're obviously free to like CG if you want  Here, have a scene where there is both CG and 2D. All the characters and the cockpits are 2D and regular animation, but the mechs and everything sorrounding them is CG. You should be able to tell the difference + the CG in these scenes are top tier.I don't personally hate CG though, as long as it's well done and blends in well. Recent examples where it didn't blend in well: Parasyte background characters Saekano hands when typing on laptops both of those really stood out to me when watching the shows. | ||

edit: KnK has integrated elements done well for the most part. Come now follow the discussion! Glad you enjoying it. I like the 4th and 2nd a lot as well since it's mainly focused on the adorable Shiki :D. People say 5th movie is the best and one of the best anime movies to date. Don't know if I agree. Kingdom s1 had awful CG. I think I wouldn't have finished it if I wasn't stuck in a BnB for the week doing work out of town. | ||
