Seirei no moribito and Darker than Black. Both shows' first episode was promising so I'll keep watching I must say, after finishing Legend of Korra (and after first episode of Seirei), I find myself enjoying a lot a female MC that can hold her own. Which other shows have a strong female MC?
Seirei no Moribito is very good, but as a warning, the series overall is not an action anime. There are actually very few fights in the anime.

That's why judging an anime by its description isn't a good idea.
In the case of Yuri Bears it is. Its not worth watching really.
Opinions etc.
Even so, you wouldn't know that from the description.
That's the problem with new series. With old (and with old I mean completed) ones I can just scan a few reviews and can say if it's worth giving it a shot or not. With new shows however that isn't possible and I'm not the kind of person that wants to waste his time and watch 2-3 episodes of each new anime and then drop 95 % of it. I'm personally fine if something I would like slips through my fingers if I don't find appeal through the description because either someone recommends it to me sooner or later or I pick up on it in this thread. Even if those two doesn't happen I will probably pick up on it sometime in the future (may when it's long completed) which isn't a bad thing because I'm not a fan of weekly series anyways and would rather watch most of them in one go anyways.

This is basically my feelings on it. It's interesting for now, the allegory is decent, but it's pretty unusual....i hear that's the norm for this creator, but i haven't seen anything else by him yet so I can't say for sure either way.
Also, I donno if any of you have seen this yet but apparently Monty Oum creator of RWBY died from an allergic reaction during a routine medical procedure. Here's an article on it...
ROOOOFFFFFLLLLLLLLL what an awkward moment for MC-kun when he was discovered by library girls siblings that he is carrying a condom cause he followed his friend's advice to always carry a condom for "safety"
This siblings are such a bro to MC and library girl alike. Not only did they leave the room to make space for the two of them since they suspect MC has plans with the condom. They are also doing it for there elder sisters(library girl) sake to improve her writing.
Just an episode of Kousei harem explaining why they like him.
Rofl at the aiza Takeshi saying "STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER" at the end but when Kousei responded "I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING TO HER" he responded "ARE YOU SAYING SHE'S NOT CUTE ENOUGH" lol
Every big performance in this show has a "BRAVO" at the end of it. Not like Nodame Cantabile also didn't have one every end of a big performance.
Nanatsu no Taizai is basically Bleach. First off, you have one of the leaders of whats supposed to be the good guys, is actually a bad guy (holy knight/Aizen). This leader has been experimenting with demons/hollow to form some sort of hybrid between the good guys and these things (holy knights/shinigami + hollow/demon = strong ppl). Then add in, the reason he's doing this whole thing is so that he can find somebody/something strong enough for him to fight. Add into that the fact that the actual good guy, who's blonde, (ichigo/meliodas) is being manipulated by the holy knight guy so that the rest of the holy knights (shinigami) think he's actually the bad guy. Then the MC invades the ppl's main area (holy knights kingdom/seireitei) by being shot out of a cannon/thrown by a giant in a group at the area.
Now, i know that they're both shounen or w/e...but seriously, the similarities are scary.

should I read/watch it? I dropped Bleach like ages ago.
I actually really like Nanatsu. Each episode has been really good. I was just doing the comparison for shits and giggles really. They're not exactly the same, there's just some storylines that are similar.
That being said, I also liked Bleach. So i'm not sure if my opinion would mean anything to you BUT, i do know that a lot of other ppl here also like Nantsu a lot if that counts for anything
Since VisualWood podcast decided to watch "Castle in the Sky" to discuss next week I also decided to watch that as I planned to do that someday anyways. Have to say I really liked it. It wasn't as stunning or as touching as Princess Mononoke or Chihiro but it was really heart-warming, exciting at times and it had great humor. Visuals and animations were beautiful, especially considering that film is from 1986. And Hisaishi did freaking work. I love that guy so much, it seems so natural to him to create masterpieces.
Watched the Disney dub btw. before anyone wonders. I think it was great. Pazu's voice seemed a bit too mature to me but the overall cast was very well done while some characters have been nailed with their voices (Dola for example).

The art of Nanatsu somehow really turned me off. It's rare but it was really hard for me to watch the first episode. Still have that show on hold, will see when I get to it. There is so much more I want to watch before that.

On another note
Ikuhara plz. Loved the episode tho.
LOL. What is that anime?
Yuri Kuma Arashi. It's...interesting...I suppose would be the right word.
Up to chapter 30ish? in Nanatsu. Liking it so far. Only real complaint, if you can call it that, is some feeling of weirdness with the art sometimes. I can't even put a name to the feeling.
My buddy and I started Zankyou no Terror last night, and a couple episodes in, hoooooly shit is it good. I a m 99% expecting it to be a massive disappointment by the end, now On the flip-side, this OST is fucking amazing. Youko Kanno going beyond her usually-bright work and doing a lot of grittier stuff turned-out to be stellar, and her work with all the collaborators is beautiful.
Not to take away from (what I think is) a fantastic art style and colorization, as well as the fun direction, but the music in bike scene is what immediately made me decide to watch the show.
