Something like NerveGear/Amusphere will come sooner or later in human history.

So i find the attempt of the story writers quite interesting how characters and stories are revolving around those technology. Specially the idea of someone that is incapable of "normal day life" but is on-par with every other "normal" person out there in a virtual environment. What happens when you make friendship with such a person and you don´t know that he/she only have possibly months to live but always thought that he was "normal" like you. The wall of fame as a "gravestone" is also really saddening. 9/10 for this story so far because it made me think twice.

Sure one could argue that we even have now the same with online gaming but i think virtual reality adds another layer of "reality" to it.
