Somehow I feel like either Amane or Sakaki is going to be the final in the anime, and it'll probably be a little bit longer i guess? I donno i stopped watching the anime when i picked up the VN b/c that was the whole point lol. Maybe i should just watch it anyways so i can finally join everybody in bitching about how they butchered everything | ||

It's only an atrocity if you have this expectation that the anime can match the source material. Personally, I watched the past two episodes today after finishing Michiru's route over the weekend and while there are obvious things lacking, I think it's rather well done. I 'regret' the studio not + Show Spoiler [Michiru's route] + adding the funeral scene in the anime (Michiru's reaction to her friends' goodbyes. Also, Yumiko's emotion was just so raw, best moment of Michiru's route imo) like Michiru's antics in the hospital, trying to make people laugh. You also get moments like the Meowmel/taxi scene animated and I thought it was great (read: sad) Overall, if you enjoyed GnK, don't hate the anime for not being a VN equivalent. If anything, it's probably meant to draw more fans to the VN once they see an appeal in anime form. | ||

My only real complaint is + Show Spoiler + that the sex scenes are entirely unnecassary and badly placed (in the timeline i mean). Particularly that bath scene with michiru...like after all this intensely sad part and then there's an intensely joyful moment, and all of a sudden they're banging. I'm like wtf?! Seriously, these stories are really really good and there's absolutely no need for the sex scenes. I'm wondering if they did it b/c they wanted to sell the game more or w/e, but i just feel when you can write an incredibly strong emotional story like this it should be able to sell extremely well on its own.+ Show Spoiler + Also none of this really needed to be spoilered but I'm having fun with them so haha | ||

I'd hate to think they're doing Yumiko/Sachi with 1ep each and then 4 eps for Amane ~_~ Though at that rate, they could do 2eps Amane, 2 eps Meikyuu and end on its cliffhanger for season 2 lolol. | ||

Didn't mean it wasn't an abomination. And quite honestly, if I hadn't read the VN already, I would have dropped the anime by now. Butchering of the VN plot aside, the pacing of the show is horrendous. + Show Spoiler + They gave the cat what, 5 minutes of screentime before killing it off? Yeah, that'll really pull at my heartstrings. Overall, if you enjoyed GnK, don't hate the anime for not being a VN equivalent.
